I have a similar question. I have a package deal right now that requires purchasing at least a 3 day ticket to get a good discount on the overall package. Right now, we have a 6 day ticket. Can I get the 3 day tickets (good at any park) through the package deal and then buy the 3 day (one park at a time) ticket? Would I be able to use the package ticket one day, then the other ticket and then finish the package ticket? For instance, I plan to go to MK then Epcot, HS, AK, back to MK and then Epcot. Is it always going to use the package ticket first and then go to the 3 day ticket? Would I be able to have a hard ticket to use for the 3 day and use magic band for the other? Just trying to figure out if I can make it work to save some money.
If your package requires a minimum 3-day ticket, that must be a "regular" theme park ticket and not the special offer 3-day Magic ticket. The special offer ticket cannot be combined into a package.

The package ticket is valid for length of package and a 3-day Magic Ticket will only be valid for 5 days from the designated Start Date. So depending on what order you want to use your tickets, just make sure that extra ticket is valid for the dates you intend. Then you'll need to have Guest Relations or a ticket window "prioritize" the correct ticket each day; I recommend confirming the correct ticket was used after you enter the park because it's much easier to resolve in the park than later.

All tickets are linked to your MDE account so MagicBands and hard plastic tickets are interchangeable.

So they can go in a prioritize which one gets used when?

Any idea how long the 3-day 3-park promotion will stick around? Tom Bricker mentions the possibility of a 4-park ticket perhaps being released after Easter. Not sure if we should jump on the 3-day ticket and add a 1-day for MK or wait until after Easter to see if the 4 day gets offered.

Last year I believe the 3-park Magic Ticket (and the 4-park version) were available straight through until mid/late September when the offer expired. No guarantee that won't change this year but I wouldn't expect it to be pulled early. Whether or not a 4-park version is released is anyone's guess. I'm not sure it will be but possibly.

I think that was speculation on his part if the 3-park didn't do well. He also assumed you could use the 3-park ticket in any combination and not one day required at each park.

Thanks! One follow up question, if a person bought a 3 day 3 park ticket and they came out with a 4 park version, would it be possible to "upgrade" the 3 day to the 4 day by paying the difference in cost (like you can with regular tickets)?

I would expect that to be allowed, presuming the 4-day is more expensive than the 3-day.

I take I can't get a refund for the full price kids tickets I bought last month since they would be half price now.
The early bird got the shaft I guess.

You can't get a refund but you could buy the half price tickets for this trip and hang onto the other ones you already purchased and apply their value to a future trip. Costs more upfront but maybe not in the long run if you make multiple trips.

Appreciated...why I love this board.

Is there any way to change the start date of tickets to the day after arrival if you have a package booked? We won’t arrive until late our first day and have a split stay booked. We have all the tickets on our first resort.

No. Package tickets automatically begin on check-in date. If you need them to be valid longer you can either 1) remove the tickets from the package and purchase separately with a later start date, or 2) add another day to the tickets (depending on current length that may only be another $20 or so).

Okay thank you. We are going to add another day on tickets to get it to last to the end of our stay.
