Tickets and Annual Pass Questions - Please add your ticket questions to this thread

Are both of these still the case? Even MDE? Can they not just get a hard ticket card if we don't plan to use LL or ADR or anything else? If they have to create an MDE, it is going to be very complicated for them. I thought they could just get an entry card for the one day.

I know definitely that 3+ day tickets cost more if bought at the gate, but I'm not certain about one-day tickets. It's possible to buy online even that day.

Nothing is "on" the physical tickets. Those simply serve to access an MDE profile. If your guests don't want to create their own MDE, could you add them to yours? They won't need to do anything other than you can link the tickets for them, then they can use the physical ticket or a MagicBand or a phone to enter.

Thank you. Yes, I guess I would have to add them to my MDE. I had no idea that a person could not enter without setting up MDE (either one's own or added to another person's). We've been annual pass holders for years but researching this for them has made me realize how complicated Disney has become for casual visitors!

OK, I’m a long-term DVC member and have been going to WDW for the past 20 years or so. Mostly been doing APs over the past decade. I’m meeting some friends down there to overlap for a few days in March. They told me they’re only planning to go to the parks for 6 days but they bought 8-day park tickets so that they could go into a second park on a 2 days. Is this a thing and is this doable?

This is not a thing and not doable. Your friend needs hopper tickets to go to a second park on the same day.

The only way to accomplish this without hopper tickets would be to buy multiple sets of single day theme park tickets for each guest, but the price would be outrageous compared to upgrading to a hopper on one ticket.

Hopefully your friend can exchange the 8 day single park tickets and upgrade and pay the difference for 6 day hopper tickets wherever they purchased if that is what they truly want.

Also, let your friends know that hopping is one fixed price for the length of the ticket. They will be able to hop everyday if they wish.

Oh my gosh, I didn’t think so! I knew I had never heard of it. I’m hoping he didn’t buy the tickets yet, but maybe he did. As I said, they’re doing a large family trip and I’m just popping down for the last 3 to 4 days of it. I hate being the bad guy, but I guess I need to let him know.
