Anyone know how far in advance we can book this?

My 24 year-old son is so excited to do the tour so I want to be sure and book it for him to do during our May trip.

Thank you!! :thumbsup2

You can call. I know I called and made a reservation for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and Pirates League at 180 days out, when I made my dining reservations. My neighbor took it with his 18 year old son and they loved it! Joseph was always fascinated with trains!

Thanks so much for the reply!! My 180 days is coming up in about 10 days so I'll be sure to call and book.

This is a great tip thank you so much for sharing it!!

you're welcome and also just be warned sometimes they may be doing something on main street early in the morning and you may not get to take a picture. One time i was there for the tour and they were filming a commercial we were told no pictures in the MK until we were on the train.

The description says "Periods of walking or standing"....do you think my dad with a cane could do this? He has more issues with steps than actual walking....thanks for any input!

the only steps are the ones at the main street station and you can also go up a set to look into the engine when you are at the roundhouse.

You will get on and off the train a couple of times once at fantasyland to see the switch thrown and then again once you are at the roundhouse. It's a bit higher there because there is no platform to step onto.

Afterward you here a little bit about the engines you will board another train that will then head to main street after that you send some time in the station learning about walts history with trains and the history of the trains in the park.

ADDITIONAL INFO:

1) Try to book your tour along with the Carolwood Tour (see Carolwood Pacific Historical Society), if your dates match.
2) They have the ONLY tour where you are permitted pictures inside the train repair barn.
3) Plus, the Train Barn portion has petty detailed for info from the CM guides.
4) This is a rare treat.
5) When held, the tour date fills up quickly (make the FAST), so you have to be on your toes.

Um I'm not sure if something has changed since I last did this tour but on all of the tours you can take pictures of the roundhouse and everything in it. There are some places you can't but they are not related to the roundhouse. I think the only difference with the one with the Carolwood Pacific Historical society is they have there members on it.

Thank you so much for the info...I think I may chance it and book it for him. I'll be with so if he needs a shoulder or boost I can help out :) Those darn ligaments in his knee were improperly repaired by his surgeon and he only has 80% use....straight walking doable but the up and down is tough....
