The GH Official Thread Part 3

Where did you see him listed as 36? I'm seeing a birthdate of 2001, making him 23 years old. I saw a quote from him that said he decided to become an actor 4 years ago when he was 19. There is a voice actor with the same name (Colin Cassidy) who (based on pictures I've seen) might be 36.
All I know is I googled "How old is the actor who plays Aiden on General Hospital?" I think it was one of the Soap Opera websites that I got it from.

Edited to add: I went and double-checked, and it seems the info was wrong. Most websites don't seem to have an exact age, but figure he's in his mid-20s. That's still older than 15 (Aiden's age), but a lot younger than 36! Sorry-glad I double-checked.

The Colin Cassidy on GH is 23. The character should be around 15 or 16, but I think the actor looks young enough.

I’m not feeling the Lucas vibe from his recast. The guy seems too young and doesn’t fit the role for my taste.
Yes, I agree. While I'm generally never a huge fan of recasts (ugh Lulu), this Lucas one seems to not fit at all.

According to a few different sites, his birthday is July 29, 2001. There's probably not a whole lot of information out there on him because he's only been acting a few years and this is his biggest job so far.

I'm not feeling the nuLucas either, but I'll see if I feel that way a few months from now. I have actually grown to like the new Molly, but still haven't grown to like the new Kristina.

Uh oh, Brad is on the case! Lol I wonder if he will go old Brad and blackmail Portia or do the right thing and expose her?
Where is his aunt? Haven’t seen her in awhile?

Also read that Elizabeth brother Steven will return after she mentioned him the other day.

I have a bad feeling Portia will turn it around on Brad and people will believe her. I think Lucas will end up going to bat for Brad.

Yes, Scott Reeves is returning to the show.

The Dex/Molly thing is weird. Why do either of them have to cheat? They both have good relationships and Dex finally just got Joss back. If Molly cheats on TJ, she deserves whatever consequence she gets!

So it's finally Sam's time I suppose...

Now we know why Martin has lost his accent! Why is GH pushing this voice coach changing people's dialects? What's wrong with them being a little unique?

Guess it's time for Willow and Drew to pay the price. ::yes::

I'm guessing it's not easy to do those accents day after day

Well Rena Sofer did it for years and they're both actors who chose to take the role with the accents, so I'm not sure that's the reason. I watched all 7 seasons of the Good Doctor and Freddie Highmore who is English, had to talk with not only an American accent, but also effectively act and talk like he had Autism. No it's not easy, but that's acting.
Just seems strange to me, for both of them to give up their dialects.

one show a week, less than 25 per year. Soaps have a much tougher filming schedule.
Not insisting I'm correct. Maybe fans complained about the accents. Maybe higher ups at ABC didn't like them?

Yea, no big deal, it's JMO. I've watched all ABC soaps on/off (mostly on) since the 80's.
If anyone watched AMC, both actress' who played Opal, which was a central character and didn't seem to have a problem with her accent daily for many years. Martin especially is not even on very often.
Again, JMO.

It is weird the show is making a big deal out of the accents, I mean it's an actual storyline for Lois and Martin. Was it the actors not wanting to do it or were fans complaining their accents were so fake. Lois doesn't seem Lois and Martin doesn't seem like Martin with them talking so differently now. Just so weird.

It is beginning to look like something will happen to Sam during the transplant process and not because of an accident.
