Anyone tried the different Teva sandals for the kind of walking we all do at WDW? I'm looking at "pretty rugged 2" but "hurricane is about half the price. Then, there's open toachi, kayenta, west water, and more. Can anyone who's tried more than 1, recommend one over the others? I won't be wearing them every day (have Keens, crocs, runners) but want to be able to if I feel like it so they have to be comfortable and not make blisters or feet/legs aches too much.

Thanks for the help.

DH and I both wear Teva Mush flip flops to the parks. They are more comfortable than any other type of shoe, IMO. They also dry out quickly.

I ADORE my Teva Dozers for the parks. I recently bought the Toachi and have been wearing them on "Chub Club" walks, about 3 miles a day, they are also wonderful. My daughter got the open toachi's and she loves them.

I also suggest Keen newport h2s. I always have a rotation of shoe's at the parks.

Thanks Totally Tink and RainbowWit,

I have the Keen H2s but wanted others to be able to rotate. The only time I had a blister problem so far was the trip I bought Chacos for. I was tihnking the Teva Kayenta and Calista were too flat. Hadn't even thought of mush but I do love a good flip flop. I'll get some of those too then. Wow if Toachis work for 3 mile walks that really says something! I like that they have neoprene like the Keens.

Thanks!

I have the pretty rugged ones and they are all I wore last Sept at Disney..My feet were not sore at all and they dried fast after the rain and the water rides

I wore my Teva Mush flops for the 5K Race for the Cure this past weekend. There are no blisters, heel problems, or back problems to report! Honestly, I probably walked almost 5 miles (the race, to/from our parking place, around the vendor area) total in less than three hours and the shoes were fabulous! I am definitely a Teva convert.

I just ordered 3 pair of Tevas last Friday AM and they shipped out last Friday PM. I love the Teva flip flops and have lots of different colors, so I decied to try the Teva sport sandals.
I ordered the Teva Dozer 2, the Teva Toachi (closed toe) and the Teva Pretty Rugged. I hope I like them as much as the mush flip flops.

I ordered from Sierratradingpost...had a 25% off email, plus already reduced sale price, with no shipping.:cool1:

I'll check back in a couple of days and give ya a "comfort" update.

I have a pair of Pretty Rugged all leather and a pair of Hurricanes. I wear nothing but my Pretty Ruggeds when at WDW. The support is far better for an entire day of walking. I tried the Hurricanes once and by the end of the night, regretted it. The next day, I went back to my Ruggeds. I waterproof my Ruggeds every Spring so I have no worries about taking them on water rides. I've had them for years and they're still going strong.

i have the "pretty rugged" type tevas and love them - never got a blister in disney while wearing them!

OK, last night I ordered Keen H2 Newports for kids $49 (size 6 youth for my 5.5 or 6 women's foot) and Teva pretty rugged nylon brown gingham (not my first color choice but it's a closeout) $44 from REI.com. Total shipping is free if you order a teva product with it. Not sure how different the kid Keens will feel; heel and ankle are slightly different.

You all are great!

Not sure if I'm allowed to say the name of the store on here, but I just found Teva Hurricane's for $20. PM me for the info.

Mods please just let me know if this is not allowed. Thanks.

Well I hope it's OK. I just posted a store. I hope if I did it wrong, that mods will forgive me and chalk it up to ignorance, not rule-breaking.

I know there is a rule against advertising, I'm just not sure this falls under that category...

I can't compare with the other types of Tevas, but on our last trip I took my west waters, crocs, and sneakers. The Tevas were the only ones that did not give me blisters and I kept coming back to them. They are light and dry quickly.

OK...just got my Teva shipment. I have tried all 3 pairs on, but not worn them for any length of time. My initial opinion on each are:

1. Pretty Rugged 2(blue)... so cute and seem really comfortable....definantly a keeper.

2. Dozer II (gray and lavender) they are cute but look big and bulky....they don't seem as ventilated as I thought..but.....they feel great on.

3. Toachi/closed toe (green). my inital impression...they are b*tt ugly! They look like I have a pair on men's sandals on. They feel comfy, but I think it may take a few adjustments on the many straps. These are the Teva's I really had my heart set on for "extreme walking" at WDW.

I am definantly not a fashion diva....so I assume I should be more concerned with comfort than appearance....right?

So all you Teva wearers......should I keep all three or not????:confused3
I got a great deal at Sierratradingpost......all three shipped to me for $105.00. My DH cringed because I have so many Teva mush and Olowahu's (sp?) but I really wanted to try the sport sandals since I have heard so many great things about them on the Dis.

Teva Pretty Rugged Leather Sandals are on sale in Cabela's Bargain Cave for an unheard of $21.88. Mine arrived yesterday, and I haven't taken them off yet (except to sleep). Very comfortable! Just what I was looking for in a sandal. Unfortunately, by the time I ordered mine, they were down to just size 8s in the brown leather (out in black). So, if you wear an 8, you may want to give them a try. I just checked and they are still showing as in stock for the 8. I hope someone here can use the link. I read in an old DIS post from the spring about them and was lucky enough to still find them in stock.

ITA I wore these and loved them. Wore them everyday and the cushiness kept my feet comfy. I have orthodics and very high arches but these were great!! They do dry out quickly as well. I am looking to get some more this year.

I bought the Teva mush flip flops and Tiva FI 2s for our resent trip. My DD6 has the Teva Hurricane 2. Although I like my Tiva mush for normal running around, and they are very comfortable, they didnt have enough foot support for me for the parks. My Teva FI 2 were still cushy by held my foot more scurely, have great arch support and they dried quickly. I wore them all 10 days and didnt get a blister.

Although I have not worn the Hurricanes, my daughter has them and they dont feel quite a cushy.

I found my sandles and others at Sierratradingpost.com for very good prices.

I hope this helps.

I also love Terra Fi 2 sandals. I always wear them at WDW & live in them all summer. Great support & very comfortable.
