at your house...when does he come? overnight -before kids awake? After church? lunchtime? What does he leave & where? is it hidden or just out in the open?

DH & I have very different memories of this - so I'm wondering what everyone elses Easter Bunny does...

We are a family of church musicians, so Easter Sunday to us means leaving the house by 6:45 am for a 7:30 call for the 8 am service and also staying for the 9:30 and 11 am services. Then when we get home, our kids find their baskets inside the house. Then we eat. Then everyone takes a nap (called "the Easter nap" now that they are old enough to know what is going on), during which time the bunny hides the candy filled plastic eggs in the back yard. We seriously have our Easter egg hunt at about 5 pm on Easter afternoon...we always tell our kids it's the bunny's last stop!

Easter Bunny comes at night and hides the baskets filled to the brim with candy, books, clothes sometimes, bubbles, etc.

For us, easter bunny comes at night. We wake up in the morning to gather all the eggs he left hiding in and outside the house(the eggs we decorated the night before). Then the kids each look for their big easter basket filled with toys and candy. They are hidden around the house,in very discreet places. The kids love trying to find their baskets!!

My kids have had the same baskets since their first Easter. We leave them out on Easter eve, on the dinning table or coffee table. The bunny comes in the night and fills them, with candy, toys, books, etc. This year I have a feeling he is going to leave a stuffed giraffe for my son and kitty for my daughter. As well as a bunch of peanut butter/chocolate candy for both of them. Oh, and a chocolate bunny of course! As well as some bath fizz, disney light up pens, etc.

We dont hide eggs at our house. I take about 10 dozen to my MIL's house and hide them for all the nieces and nephews. MIL trys to claim the bunny hid them, but since my kids help fill them they know better!

The Easter Bunny comes at night at our house. We also do not hide the baskets, they are waiting on the table to be filled, kind of like Christmas Stockings. He does hide the eggs all around the house.

The Easter Bunny will come Saturday night while DD is sleeping and leave a basket of non-candy stuff and then hide some candy filled eggs around the living room. He doesn't hide eggs outside in our house.

Tomorrow I'm doing an egg hunt for DD and some friends. The Easter Bunny will leave a bag of eggs at our front door for me to hide. He's too busy to do it himself.

The Easter Bunny hides plastic eggs filled with candy inside the house (they would melt outside). He also hides DS's basket, filled with more candy and toys. DS looks for the eggs and basket as soon as everyone gets up on Easter morning.

DD's leave their baskets out on the table on Easter Eve. The Easter Bunny fills them with goodies and hides the entire basket somewhere inside the house. They LOVE searching and spend some time with their baskets before church. After church we have always gone to in-laws for lunch and egg hunting, but this year we have moved and we're alone. SO, after lunch we'll have an egg hunt with the eggs they dyed and some plastic ones I have filled with a few single dollar bills, candy, hair stuff, etc. The bunny never hides these - mom and dad do and then the girls like to hide them for us!!! :)

In our house, the Easter bunny comes at the crack of dawn ... (or so DS has been led to believe). However, I do it all at night!!!!

I put an Easter egg (one of the plastic ones) in DS's bedroom, on his nightstand. That egg contains a clue to the next "location" to go to. He goes to that location and finds that egg ... which contains another clue to another location. It's like a scavenger hunt. I have him running from the upstairs bedroom, to the basement to the first floor, back to the basement, to the upstairs bathroom ... and I try to hide the basket in some bizarre spot (ie: clothes dryer, downstairs shower, etc.).

DS loves to run around like a maniac reading clues!!! E. Bunny always leaves behind a Beanie Buddy, a movie and some treats.

At our house the Easter Bunny hides the eggs and baskets so that on Easter morning they can be found.

The Easter Bunny comes very early Sunday morning and hides candy all over the house (that the kids helped to clean on Saturday :) ). When the kids wake up, they take their Easter baskets (that they've had since childhood) and scramble all over the house filling them with their treasures.

And these "kids" are 18 and 16 and they INSIST that we do this every year!

I really love the fact that they still want to hunt for Easter candy. They grow up too soon anyway. But then again, these are the kids that do not want ANY presents under the Christmas tree until early Christmas morning.

Us too. But my kids understand I supply the basket & some of the Goodies because lets face it how much can the poor bunny carry.

We sit out the baskets the night before and the EB fills them while the kids are sleeping.

They get candy, maybe playdoh and some change.

We also do an Easter egg hunt later in the day.

I mentioned to my Mom the other day about all of the stuff stores try and sell for Easter-big huge toys. It's almost as if Easter has become another Christmas for some people.

If it doesn't fit in the Easter basket, we don't buy it. :thumbsup2

EB comes at night and fills the basket and hides eggs....he also leaves footprints via two fingers dipped in flour on the bedroom floor....:)

We leave our baskets on the table for the bunny to fill which he does and then he hides them. When the kids get older, we will do the treasure hunt thing. Mommy and Daddy hide the eggs while the kids wait upstairs or in the basement. We fill them the first time, but then do the hunt several times in a row. This year it might actually be warm enough to do the hunt outside--that would be a treat!

DH is gone to church before we get up--musician--so I quick feed the kids breakfast and then we head out to church and don't come back until DH is done. That way there is no basket looking before Daddy gets home.

My girls are 20 and 22 and the Easter Bunny still brings the baskets they have
had since they were born...and he still hides them! Nowadays, there is less candy, more makeup, and the eggs are filled with $$.........Happy Easter!!!!

In my house the Easter Bunny comes overnight, while the girls are sleeping. The night before the girls leave the Easter Bunny a plate with fresh carrots, and water, (since this is what my daughters say he will like). In the morning he has left them their baskets, and eggs to hunt for. They are so thrilled to find the Easter Bunny has eaten his carrots and water, and what a mess he makes! :thumbsup2

Wow...I'm a horrible parent. We usually get the kids a basket w/ some goodies and stuff in them, but not this year....instead I got each of them some new clothes (needed desparatly (sp?)) and they are going to each get a new bike. Should I still get them a basket? DS10 - DD6
