For all you nurses/nursing students, how hard is the TEAS exam? I did really well in school but it's been about 8 years since I was in school so I am wondering if I will still be able to do well on it. Thanks so much :)

I don't know anything about the TEAS exam, but I took the GRE yesterday and have not been in school since 1982!!! I did very well on the verbal, and surprisingly OK on the math! I did not study at all. I guess it is like a riding a bike!

Well done ILUVALASKA! I am slowly starting to investigate the process to go back to school so that by the time my youngest is in school full time I will hopefully have my BSN. Ideally I'd like to work 2 or 3 12 hour night shifts a week so I can still do the stay at home mom thing during the day.

The TEAS V was fairly easy. I took it cold & did well enough. I finished it in an hour and a half. I had been out of school for 20 years prior to taking it.

Thanks Princess Belle! I know I will do really well on the reading and English, the math and science are trickier but it seems to be stuff I've already learned, just have to remember it!

I took it a couple of years ago and it wasn't too bad. I had googled TEAS practice tests online and did a few of those (I think I remember having to pay a few bucks for one of them) and that was about it. The science portion was the one that I felt was the hardest.

Good luck!

I'll be taking the TEAS this semester. Everyone I've talked to has told me to focus on the science portion. I've also been out of school 20 years. Good Luck to you!

Thanks so much for the advice so far and good luck to those of you taking it soon!

The TEAS test is not too hard but usually it does take some preparation.

You may find some free practice tests and questions online. A good study guide is usually better!
