First, thank you, Tall Todd for the update.
I chose Disney Pop Century Resort again and I used the AP discount for the new dates and reservations.
Notice that one reservation is "Passholder Summer Room Offer" with "Standard Room".
And the other reservation is "Incredible Summer Room Offer" with "Preferred Room"
I could never find a "Standard Room" for both reservations, and that is why the cost is different.
I will keep trying to find the "Standard Room" on my other reservation.
When I go online to MyDisneyExperience sometimes I would see no Annual Pass Discount and sometime different dates not available. I don't know why.
I used the top of the page and clicked on "Places To Stay" to search for resort and then rooms, I did not always see the Annual Pass Discount.
Whenever I scrolled down to the bottom of the page and clicked on "Special Offers", I was able to see the Annual Pass Discount each time.
They may have fixed this or maybe it is just my computer.
Once I see the resort that I wanted with the discount, the room is either not available or you may have to buy an upgraded room at a higher price. That is what happened to me.
Here is what they charged for a "Standard View" and "Preferred View" for the following dates:

thank you for posting that!!!!
i don't have access to the AP rates presumably because we don't yet own APs
as we approach the 60 day FP+ window, we'll upgrade the 2 day MYW park hopper ticket that was required for the american package we have reserved to the Platinum AP.
Until that time, i can't see the rates. Presumably one of the fan base websites will eventually post all the rates.
in any case, using your standard rates for the AP summer offer, i was able to calculate the estimated cost for a 14 day stay as costing $1,853.
the 14 day package i have currently reserved is the bounceback offer from last august. If you stayed onsite during august 2017, you could book the american bounceback free dining offer. So we did, starting on august 1.
the requirement for the american free dining offers is purchase of a minimum 2 day park hopper pass. However, it can be upgraded to an AP, so i take out that part of the package to be applied to the AP.
So the 14 day free dining package is $3694 less the cost of the two 2 day park hoppers of $$584 = $3,110
So $3,110 - $1,853 = $1,257
so the AP is $1,257 cheaper. But the Free dining includes dining (the full dining plan, since i upgraded from the QS plan).
So $1257 divided by 14 = $89.79 Divided by 2 = $44.90 per person per day for food.
I believe that the free dining offer is the better buy.
$44.90 will not cover one TS, one QS and 2 snacks. i think that's what the plan currently offers. I think. I have to go look.
And even if it's a few dollars different, convenience would more than make up for it.
thanks again for posting that. It confirmed my guesstimate.
