Tried to search for the answer but couldnt find it.

Coming to Disneyland during Feb17 week, which is a busy week.
On our first day, we plan to hit Disneyland from 8am till noon.
Noon to about 3-4, we would take a break.
We will have park hoppers, so at about 11am or so, 4 our party will get a Lightning Lane for Guardians. 3 of our party will get a Lightning Lane for Monsters.
Hoping for a return time about late afternoon/early evening for Guardians.
At 1pm, all 7 of us would get a Lightning Lane for WebSlingers, hoping for a return time late afternoon, early evening.
At 3pm, all 7 get a LL for Soarin for evening.

What I am wondering, can the 3 getting the LL for Monsters keep modifying to push the return time close to the Guardian return time, and this doenst affect getting a LL for WebSlingers at 1pm?

Can we modify LL return times so the end result would be
Group of 4
11am get LL for Guardians for a 5pm return
1pm get LL for WebSlingers for a 7pm return
3pm get LL for Soarin for a 8pm return

Group of 3
11am get LL for Monsters for a 5pm return
1pm get LL for WebSlingers for a 7pm return
3pm get LL for Soarin for a 8pm return

Guess, what Im asking, will modifying a LL return time to a later time restart the 2 hr window of getting a fastpass?

We did this exact thing. If a time you don't really want or it's too early, grab an easy LL and wait , refresh that and use it to "hunt" better rides and times.

Also.......keep your head on a swivel for downed rides you really don't care about. If it's down, switch a LL to that ride and you may get a anytime LL.

Those do not affect your window at all. We got 3 last visit for Indy (which we rode standby in the morning, and just grabbed the LL the moment it was down. Since it was down most of the day we kept getting anytime LL all day!

I didn’t originally ask the question, but I appreciate the responses! This is one of those questions I’d forget to look into ahead of time and then worry about at the parks when I’m booking LLs without knowing the answer lol.

But, if you CANCEL a LL, it resets the 2 hour booking window. Always MODIFY. You can even modify to a different ride in the same park (or a different time, of course).
Oh interesting. I didn’t know modifications had to be the same park. That is a good warning to know.

Omg what! You can modify to a different ride? I 100% did not know this! What a great tip! We don’t use LL frequently. Although I got it today for my son and I as a special treat for his birthday due to the current 50% discount for Magic Key holders and we used it with great success—14 attractions in eight hours. To be fair, three of those were single rider and one was standby, but the other 10 were all LL.

Happy birthday to your son!

What time did you arrive and how late did you stay? We arrived around 10 am and parking was horrendous. Both the regular exit and the carpool lane were backed up on I-5. We thought everyone was trying to avoid the rain, but someone said that they closed Toy Story for the NAMM convention. :confused3

This was when we arrived.

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes! My firstborn is 10 and I wasn’t ready for the feels!

Oh man, the parking. What a nightmare. 😩 We arrived at 8:55 and it was insane. Never seen it like that honestly! We also saw two ambulances enter the parking structures around 9:30 so that probably didn’t help.

Security was fine, we were through and on a tram quickly. But due to the parking backups we didn’t enter the parks until 10am (one hour to park and get into DL 😳).

But luckily DL was great today! Not too crowed and it didn’t start raining until we finished dinner and were headed out around 7:30. Zero traffic getting out. The Disney gods were great to us and a lovely CM at Craftsman Bar pixie-dusted my son with a yummy-looking donut because she saw his birthday button. 🍩❤️

I'm going to hop onto this thread for another LLMP question rather than start a new thread.

If I enter a DLR park at 7:30 am for a 8am opening and book my first LLMP at 7:30am, when does the 2 hour wait period begin? Is it 7:30am when I booked or 8am when the park opens?
