So other than Lularoe where do you purchase your soft buttery leggings?

I am looking for leggings that are in more than O/S and T/C as neither of those fit.
I'd love to know where others purchase soft buttery leggings like Lularoe leggings but in actual sizes like S, M, L or 8, 10, 12...
I really WANT to get into leggings but I just don't know where to look.
I prefer plain colors like black, charcoal, chocolate but I am not opposed to prints.
Hitting up the malls tomorrow so just looking for suggestions of stores.

I like American Eagle/Aerie's line of workout clothes/leggings. Very soft and cozy!

Lululemon's leggings make everyone's butt look amazing. Witchcraft. Can't get enough of them. Wouldn't call them buttery, though. And tend to be tighter so they hold it all up and in.

Sam's Club has a variety of leggings - fleece lined ones for winter are my favorite.

WalMart has some soft, comfy leggings, and some that aren't. The soft ones are mostly patterned, but some of the patterns are reasonably subtle. Can't beat the price of $9.88 though!

They cost a small fortune, but Lululemon Align leggings are the best I've ever owned. I like the 7/8 length which is ankle length on me, and they also have crop ones. Different colors as well. They are pricey, but great quality, completely opaque, wash and dry well with no shrinking, and just hold up well. They pull up high to my belly button which I like and they never slide or roll down when I walk or sit. Lululemon has different fits depending on what you want. The naked fit is one style of fit they offer, and the Align leggings are the naked fit. Meant to feel like you have nothing on comfortable, yet not thin or see through at all. They also have great customer service if you have any issues or don't like them. They even let me exchange a pair after I went down a few sizes after losing weight!

I also LOVE Athleta, although more for their tops. I haven't bought leggings from there in a while because I love the Lululemon ones so much, but Athleta is of the same great quality and would probably be very similar at a lower price point.

There is a third party seller on Amazon called leggings depot. They have a wide variety of sizes and colors and are comparable to lularoe in softness for about half the price.

I like Hue leggings. They sell them at Nordstrom

Target. Sure, I'd love to buy Lululemon, but it isn't in the budget and I'm perfectly happy with the Xhilaration ones.

Leggings? Walmart. No way I'm spending over $10 for stretchy pants. I own one pair in black. I wear them as pajamas most of the time, or during the winter under one long sweater dress I have. That's it.

Seeing PP's comment about Nordstrom reminded me that I also used to like the Zella leggings sold only at Nordstrom. Another good, lower cost option.

To each their own for sure, but from a different perspective of someone who buys leggings over $10 and wears them constantly, quality is most important to me. IMO, you get what you pay for with leggings so it just matters how and how often one is wearing them. Since I wear mine often, opacity and washing well is important. I also don't like cotton ones, which narrows the field. So I don't mind spending more for something I use so often. Like sneakers or boots for some people.

OP - you have some good suggestions from both ends of the spectrum, so I guess it just depends how you use your leggings!

OP here. I guess I should say I am looking to wear my leggings as actual pants.
I don't want something that is going to show off everything and fall apart in a minute.
I'm looking for good quality, thick, soft leggings.

Leggings are a cost per use for me as I rarely wear pants in the winter. I'll occasionally rock some skinny jeans, but I live in dresses and skirts as a matter of course, so leggings need to be good quality.

I thought you were looking for leggings as pants, so yes, invest in some you can wear often without pulling, snagging, fading, etc. I like Lululemon and the leggings from Banana. For the leggings as tights - like in my profile pic worn under a dress - I do get those at Target if I'm looking for a lighter type of legging. With the see through, light ones, I've found if I pay a fortune or not, they have the same problems of pulls and runs, snagging on a ring being the most common reason.

I like athleta metro leggings, they are thick and have pockets. I can pretend they are pants.

I buy from a boutique in my town leggings from tees by Tina. They are soft, thick and don't bunch after wearing. They sell them at Amazon.

The Zella leggings from Nordstrom are the best also.

I like lululemon leggings but I call them high maintenance Lol! They are nice but have to be washed separate, hung to dry and snag easily. I do like them though but I baby them.

I'm not a big fan of cheap leggings. They pill, they are sheer and they bunch at the knees.

Ok so I went shopping today.
I tried on tons of leggings.
Most were way too thin for my liking and felt like they would easily pill.
Even the higher quality places like Lululemon appeared to be no better than the faded glory ones I have from Walmart so I refuse to pay those high prices for something that seems so cheap.
Other places just seemed too activewearish. Color block seeming, piping, compression...
I actually think that I may end up with ponte pants from Macy's.
They are very thick and are almost a scuba dress pant material and are as comfy as leggings and I feel like I can wear them as pants.
I think for cheap leggings I'll stick with Walmart.
I thank everyone for your suggestions!

This reminds me - they also do free hemming! I'm fairly petite and they hemmed my pants to the perfect length!!

I know they're VERY expensive - but worth it! I wear them all the time - even wore them at 1:00 am in Iceland to watch the northern lights and my legs were perfectly warm!

And then... I decided to order one pair of black leggings from VIV collection on Amazon.
We shall see how they go. They are cheap, soft and buttery, ahave the 3 solid colors I was looking for.
I figure I'll check those out before ordering the $42 pants from Macy's in 3 colors lol.
