I even have my grandkids seeing him and he diagnosed the issue with my granddaughter that her pediatrician said was nothing. It isn't, she has small feet and extremely high arches with tight tendons that cause her feet a great deal of pain after standing too long or walking long distances, she gets a scooter at some point during trips to Disney now. My grandson had a toe fungus and ingrown toenail. The other granddaughter some kind of wart issue. They all love him too, especially my grandson because the treatment for his ingrown toenail was quite painful and the dr. took his mind off of the pain by talking about video games with him.

He is the only doctor that has finally gotten my husband to comply with him. The threat of amputation is good for that. LOL
Thank you for bringing to everyone's attention that a Podiatrist is also good for children. Both my girls saw a podiatrist for Planter's Warts (not fun) and for an issue with a growth plate.

You're quite welcome. It always annoyed me that the pediatrician wanted to downplay the issues. Unfortunately with my daughter's insurance she needed a referral which they refused to give her. After a trip to Disney in 2017 I flipped out and said my granddaughter needed to see someone as she was in pain and miserable to be around. It took a few more tries until one of the doctor's finally agreed. I actually said I was going to call and report them myself as there was something wrong. It took an x-ray and the podiatrist confirmed what we argued all along. Some exercises and the right orthotics and she is finally doing better. Thankfully she has aged out of needing a pediatrician. Once I won the battle for her the pediatrician gave us no issues with her brother and sister.

If you have feet issues you need a foot doctor no matter your age. Kids get feet problems too.
