I’ve always enjoyed English Muffins in the morning for breakfast (usually with eggs) and for lunch when I make baby pizzas with them (I haven’t done this since DD21 went away to school). I don’t buy them often now because DH doesn’t eat breakfast at home during the week (he eats a yogurt & granola bar at work) and I don’t eat them during the week either, so they go stale and have to be thrown away. I did buy them last week, which is what inspired this poll, to make homemade egg sandwiches at home last weekend. Since it’s Friday during Lent (no meat for me), I’m going to make myself another egg & cheese sandwich for lunch today - I’m pretty excited about it. When I decided to do this poll, I was surprised at how many flavor/types of English Muffins there are. So share with us today……..

When you buy English Muffins, what flavor/types do you enjoy?
(multiple choice)

*I have the flavor/types from the Thomas’ Bread website. I can’t list them all, so if your type isn’t there, please choose “other” and post what it is.

*If you have a good recipe that uses English Muffins, please post that for others to try.

For Me…….As I mentioned above, I don’t buy them often, but when I do I/we enjoy original, cinnamon raisin and blueberry. I never tried the other ones. I’ll have to look to see if that honey wheat one is available at our grocery store - that looks good. I normally walk right past them without looking at them.

We pretty much always have English muffins on hand. One of our local stores runs Thomas' as BOGO, so I justify buying them instead of the store brand. DD eats an "egg" cheese sausage breakfast sandwich about 3 days a week. Also... @slo They freeze nicely. When it's just DH and me living here, I'll keep a pack in the freezer and just pull out muffins a couple at a time.

This is great to know - I never thought about freezing them.
Thank you for posting this 🙂

I eat a home made Egg McMuffin every morning so I always have them in the house. They are quick and easy for me to make and give me all I need to get through the morning. I do buy the original 99% of the time but every now and again I'll get sourdough. If they are BOGO, like pp, I buy 2 packs and freeze them.

We love English muffins here!

I buy plain. We eat them toasted with peanut butter when we're in a hurry, or grilled as a side with a more leisurely breakfast.

And when I freeze them, I put a paper towel in the package. I think it helps them stay soft when they thaw.

You can freeze them so they won't go bad as quickly. Also I enjoy peanut butter on my English Muffins.

Interesting!

I will do this when I freeze them

Plain - I don’t buy them very often because I can’t get through all of them and I always forget to freeze them but I do enjoy them every once in a while I like them toasted but just a little bit of butter I rarely make sandwiches with them

I don't buy them often. I also do only buy when there is a BOGO offer.
I also freeze them. We usually only use 3 at a time, 2 for DH and 1 for me.
Usually they are for Caprese sandwiches for dinner.

Oh. forgot to add Sourdough for us

I mainly buy original but sometimes will get a flavor. My store often has a BOGO offer (or even B1G2). DD and I both eat them. I like PB on it or as an egg sandwich. There is often 1 or 2 packs in my freezer.

Always found them bland/tasteless, rarely eat them. Have some friends originally from England who think they are wonderful.

We always have Wolferman's in our freezer. Out now for consumption is Cinnamon Raisin. As a matter of fact, I have to order more.

They are much thicker than Thomas'. I found them at a Harry and David's store years ago and now I order them online.
