When we fly out of Nashville to WDW, we park in a private facility offsite that provides a shuttle to the airport. Am I supposed to tip the shuttle bus driver who takes us from the private parking lot to the airport terminal? As an aside, it seems that everyone these days expects to be tipped!

If he handles your luggage, I would say yes.

I know the onsite lot at PIT has a sign "no tipping" in the shuttles, along with the sign "cannot handle luggage due to insurance regulations". You drag it on and off yourself.

I wouldn't think that would be necessary. If it were a private car service that would be different, but this is a bus. I guess if you thought the driver was especially kind or accommodating in some way you may consider it. Your right about the tipping situation getting out of hand, it seems everyone has tip jars in front of their registers. You should only tip him/her if you feel they really deserve it and for no other reason.pirate:

We always tip the shuttle bus drivers. That is how they make their living, for the most part.
Yes, it does seem that a lot of people are in the lines of work that seem to require tipping, but, I look at it this way. they make my life easier, they are trying to make a living, and so, a dollar or two here and there is not a big deal.

If they help us with our bags, yes.

The shuttle drivers never see our bags, Dee drops the bags and I off at the terminal at the skycap station, then goes and parks the car, but, still tips the driver of the shuttle. Personal preference I guess.

We always do. Bags or not. It is a thankless job with awful hours for low pay.
