I wonder why only Japan seems to be jetting a new planet for Star Tours...unless they are going announce later it coming to our star Tours but should be coming since its also the 70th..you'd think Disney would want to have something else to push out for why you should come to the 70th

I'm not 100% positive, but I think this is right:

Toyko didn't get the Ahsoka, Andor, and Mandalorian updates that the other Disney parks got. There was an announcement a couple of months ago that said they're basically getting those updates for a limited time this year - the "new planet" is the space whales scene that we have now.

Given that Batuu is set in the most recent SW timeline, when Luke was older, it would be fun if Disney snuck Mark Hamill into SW:GE sometime, like that time Johnny Depp showed up in PotC. (Yes, Luke is dead, but that hasn't stopped Kylo Ren from wandering around SW:GE. Oooh, whoever plays the characters, I hope they have some interactions!)

I want the Death Star and the Tauntaun! I got the Acid Spitter Orb Sipper last year, not realizing there's a weird little creature inside.

The light saber pretzels were yummy, we bought a few packs last year.

I'm surprised they aren't having the Princess Leia ice cream sundae this year. It was so yummy, my daughter still talks about it!

I missed it today! I'm in town for a couple of concerts (in L.A. proper), so I've got a bunch of half-days at the park this weekend. (It was a beautiful coincidence that Season of the Force started today - I was psyched to get Hyperspace.) I'm planning on / hoping to catch one of the showings on Sunday night.

Edit to add: It looks like the same kids were in the background of your pics as well as his pics.

Oh, that's funny! I wonder how long they were lounging lol. That was right as I was leaving around 3:30pm.

I'm wondering if they had it turned that way for the kiosk. I don't know if they were selling the popcorn bucket there today - if they did, they were out by the time I got there. (I don't think they were available at all via mobile order today - maybe a day-one thing.)

EDIT: I think that's just for this weekend. It looks like it's normally a single showing at 10:15pm when there are fireworks, and a single 9:30pm showing when there aren't.
