Schwan's Home Food Service - Anyone use them?

We're looking into Schwan's home food service. Has anyone used them? What products do you recommend? I've heard the ice cream is good, but what about their regular food items?

We have a Schwan's guy come by work every two weeks. I have liked everything I have had. I mostly get the frozen meals for one to have at lunch. I really like the vegetarian pizza. My co-workers have bought pretty much everything between them and have had no complaints. At new years we had alot of their finger foods and they were all really good.

Honestly, I haven't tried anything from there that I don't like!

Oh, their breakfast pizzas are some of our favorites - they have gravy (biscuit gravy), eggs, bacon and cheese - you can get regular sized or mini ones.

I will tell you, the drivers are paid commission - mine is pushy - I've been known to stay away from the door when he was ringing the doorbell !

I've used them for 10 years. I have hash browns in the oven right now..I have chimichangas , pot stickers frozen yogurt and mac and cheese in the freezer...All of their food is good.. Some of it is not worth the price IMO,but some is...I really like the chicken fajita kit..The jalapeno poppers etc.

We love their cheesy tator tots and jalapeno poppers!!! We also like the chicken kiev, and I LOVE the fact that they have so many frozen yogurt options as I can't have dairy. Our driver is super nice and not pushy at all.

I love Schwann's! BUT I had to lie to the driver to discontinue delivery. I can't stand this man and don't want him in my house. The driver before him was wonderful and very considerate. This new guy is horribly pushy and rude. He gives me a bad vibe and I don't want him anywhere near my property.
As soon as I notice that there is another driver on the route I will call Schwann's and pick up delivery again. It's been about 3 years, so he's probably not going anywhere.

The pork chops are wonderful! also the ice cream sandwiches are good when they are fresh.

All of their stuff is really good. It is also fairly $$ in my opinion. If you buy it for the convenience fine but not for the bargain value.

I didn't find my salesman to be pushy at all.

Had them up north. One driver was great, the other wasn't. We hadn't been getting them too long before the driver switch-we probably would have stuck with them if he'd been more consistent.

Everything we got from them was great. I am very picky about meat quality. I never could find anything to complain about with what I purchased. The whole family loved their ice cream, too.

I've seen trucks around here, but haven't had a driver stop in our neighborhood yet.

We used them for 2 years & it was great. Then our driver left & the new one wasn't reliable so we cancelled service. They are very expensive but I still miss it.

They also have good frozen fruit. Right now I am eating mixed fruit with strawberry, peach, mango and I think pineapple.

We bought from them in Colorado and we buy from them here. I only buy chicken breasts from them. Once you try them you can't go back to the store ones. They can be a bit pricey but worth it.

My middle daughter would have eaten their mini cheese pizzas every day if we let her (we used to have Schwans but moved to middle of nowhere and do not have one around anymore) The PIzzas are packaged 4 mini pizzas in a microwavable tray they had personal size pizzas too but she liked the mini's best

we used to order online rather than have the guy come every week. he would just stop when we had ordered. We did lots of their online specials

Used them and like the food. Especially the breakfast pizzas. A little on the pricey side.

I absolutely love Schwans. My driver is great too. I place my orders online and he delivers it to me every two weeks. I like their boneless, skinless chicken breasts because they are individually wrapped. I also like their corn on the cob. They have these new boneless teryaki wings that are really good. Ok, I pretty like it all.

they come here every other Tuesday whether we need them or not! We usually buy something because DH feels bad that he stops! We get the chicken wings and fish, stuffed potato skins, jalepeno poppers, low calorie ice cream cups, icecream sandwiches...way too much! (not every visit, they are a tad expensive, buy you pay for the convenience.)

It's just me and DD18. I get the shepherd's pie, goulash, salmon, filet mignon, lemon ice (that's strictly for ME!).............and the blueberry loaves (strictly for HER). She is completely addicted to the blueberry loaves.

The only time I had a problem was when we got a new driver (several years ago) and he switched the delivery time (10am......I work in another town) and so I dropped service until a new driver/new time. I place my order online but my driver has my cell and calls to ask if he should stop by even when I haven't placed an order. He calls me to let me know when he is outside cause I can't hear him from the other end of the house (doesn't come in the yard because of my dogs). My dogs have gotten to know him/sound of his truck so they don't even bark to let me know anymore.

I love Schwan's!!!!!!!!!!!

My DH used to work for them. I love their lemon and blueberry mini loaves. Their Ice cream is great. one of my fav things was their cheesy broc rice kit (695).
I will say drivers are always being pushed to sell more, get more customers etc. The pay sucks once your off garentee pay and At least for my DH the hours sucked.

I guess I'm the only one, but I didn't really care for Schwans. I mean the food was ok, but I kept thinking to myself...it's just frozen food. I mean really, I could find most of the same things at the grocery store. I found them expensive and the delivery guy was nice but just a little pushy. I ended up feeling sorry for him most days and ordering stuff I didn't need.
