ROFR Thread April to June 2025 *PLEASE SEE FIRST POST FOR INSTRUCTIONS & FORMATTING TOOL*

My concern is with three use years and if DVC enforces the one transfer rule per membership, it could get irritating. So transfer June to October then December to October. I don’t know if I want to have to deal with that
If they even let her do the second transfer, I was under the impression that a transfer in counted as your 1 transfer as well.

Of course recently they haven't been counting transfers to self as one but technically they could and just force her to not be able to transfer from the December to October or June to October or however she does it and it'll essentially strand one of the memberships.

Is there any way to get out of this? I think at least some of your contracts haven't closed yet?

Super curious about the reasoning from your accountant as
Partner is in the highest tax bracket and no kids, I am in the lowest because im retired, we file seperately.

Plan to rent out throughout the course of it some years, she wanted her name on some contracts of course I would too if i was paying the most, but want the low taxes for renting so here we go again 🤣🤣

Coincidence that this damn SSR contract actually matches my UY and that doesn't even matter for our situation now lmaoooo

If this turns out to be a total L, we will just pay to change title later and save the headache, at least I have the matched uy going for me for any future changes if we need

I'm a strong believer of everything happens for a reason. Something that suits better will come along later.
I had 2 wait lists for VGC stays that came through this afternoon with my VDH points. I'm exploring the idea that I should just buy more VDH instead. I'm not in a hurry, so I'll see what the next direct specials are.

I kind of doubt the tax savings here would be worth the headache, frankly...

TheDailyMoo---$75-$6150-82-OKW-Apr- 164/25, 82/26 seller pays 25 MF- sent 3/27, passed 4/23

OKW was never on my radar considering how us "smart DVC" folks know that it isn't a great buy at this point but for the amount of free points and the price and knowing I may use it and sell it while it has some value left...I was ok with this. I just needed a few extra SAPs and when looking at the difference in annual dues on 81 points between OKW and even let's say a BLT....well it wasn't a deal breaker. And I mentioned it somewhere before probably in @ehh value analysis post, I actually prefer the 2042 OKW vs the extended. I want to know that even if I keep this until the end that it'll be in 2042 when dues will probably really be out of control instead of another 15 years of increases after that. I feel like instead of a shiny new luxury car I just bought an old used Honda Accord but I just need these points to take me from point A to point B...this is my commuter contract lol.

This has changed recently - they are now counting transfers between your own memberships as your one transfer!
