Agreed on another contract, and a decent price at that (will update soon) but second guessing as to the timing since with all the macro economic headwinds and volatility it just feels like much better prices/panic selling is in the near future. Really do need more points to use soon so it works for us but man oh man I really do think we're going to see a haircut on prices. Hope I'm wrong and I wish I had the gumption to wait, but again...I need points and I need them now!

This line of thinking is basically the only thing consoling me on all the swings and misses I’ve had lately. And obviously if you end up being correct that’ll be a sad state for so many people, so I definitely don’t hope for it, but I will take advantage if the opportunity presents itself.

Poly at VGF blowout prices? Um yeah...I would sell some of my stock portfolio off for that...oh wait...hold on...(checks portfolio)...nope...nothing left there...just dust and ash. A month ago my stock net worth would be buying a 1000 point VGC and now I'd be lucky to be able to buy a 25 point VB resale!

It's sad, but true! I hope we're wrong and things are solid, but it isn't looking likely.

Congratulations! I am secretly hoping DVC does a fire sale this summer on Poly (like VGF) if things go bad and sales really slow

If there's one upside to the economic uncertainty, it's DVD will have to give people some reason to buy the tower more than a weak 8 bucks off per point.

March 2025 ROFR Report Is Here!​

Grand Floridian is on FIRE right now in Right of First Refusal (ROFR) activity!
Disney has ROFR’d 19 Grand Floridian contracts so far in 2025 — that’s 20.4% of all Grand Flo contracts sold this year.

What’s driving it? My gut says… it’s the Island Tower at the Polynesian next door. Guests fall in love with that monorail location and pivot to Grand Flo — and DVC wants to be ready with the points to sell them.

Also worth watching:
Grand Californian continues to get ROFR’d, likely tied to the resort’s ongoing refurbishments.
Animal Kingdom holds strong as the most consistently bought-back resort.
Old Key West? Just 1 contract taken this year so far.

Only 3.1% of contracts overall have been bought back in 2025, but the strategy behind which ones are being targeted is getting more interesting each month.

My one share has lost value. My one resale sold for more than I paid for it last month!

Truth. I bought DVC having never stayed onsite previously (not even at a value resort or Good Neighbor hotel). I bought a second contract 3 months later before I'd even used my first DVC point.

Good luck avoiding ROFR!

Oh I know that feeling very well lol. Didn't even close on my first contract before the second was sent to ROFR. 4 Months later I added contract number 3!

You are so right. I'm not the problem, its everyone on this board who unbeknownst to them has enabled me to be this way!

This is my third contract (direct Poly, resale BLT, resale SSR) since Oct 24. Absolutely loving it. We are in FL so we do two day stays monthly rather than long stays so going around and hitting up all the resorts has been amazing! I think we are done...for now...I think...
