Hi, we want to try the Space 220 Lounge and just been reading a thread about walk up waiting times (as they couldn't get a reservation).

If we want to book a reservation, is it the same deal with booking a restaurant ie. 60 days out (if thats still a thing)?

Thanks

Yes! Space 220 Lounge and Space 220 Restaurant are listed separately in the reservation finder.

Are you staying on-site? If so it's 60+length of stay up to 10 days. Be online at 6am to book when they open ADRs.

Space220 Lounge is a very in-demand ADR still. To temper expectations- if you aren't staying on-site odds are there will not be availability be able to book this at 60 days, so you'll have to find a reservation finder and set an alert (and act fast when it triggers, they go quick!).

You need to get an ADR if you want to eat in the Lounge with the Lounge menu UNLESS you are willing to sit AT THE BAR. You can wait in a walkup line to sit at the BAR.

THIS ^

RESTAURANT takes advance ADR and there is a line day of to get an ADR for later ~ but you will only be given the RESTAURANT menu.

LOUNGE only takes advance ADR.

Yeah, we are staying on site and usually book at the 60 day mark. I just wanted to check that it's the same format for the lounge. We have 2 kids, so don't think we can do the walk up (as I believe you have to sit at the bar)

I go several times a year and have always had success booking the lounge…. I start with day 5 of my trip and work backwards. If you are looking at 60 days you will likely find nothing. People with longer trips have a definite advantage. If that’s you, plan accordingly!

I would try to book it in the later part of your stay because the lounge ADRs fill up fast. If you don't get one, go to the podium about 25 minutes prior. At that time you can either request a bar seat (I think they seat 10 at a time) or you can see if there are any cancellations for the lounge.

When we did the podium method, we showed up 45 minutes early (it was too early). People didn't really start lining up until 20 minutes before. We wanted a bar seat, which we got because we were like 3rd in line, but I heard other people getting cancelled dinner reservations. They got times like 3pm and 6pm.

It's the same timing as the restaurant, 60 days plus your length of stay.

I have personally never seen a reservation for the lounge, even at 67 days.

I tried this morning at 6 for a 60+4 and there was nothing available for the lounge. There were plenty of reservations available for the restaurant, but that doesn't interest me.

I was trying for April 30, and just 2 people. It's actually just me, but reservations for 1 are pretty difficult to get, so I always put 2. I might try to get a day of spot at the bar if the line isn't too long.

ETA: I guess it was actually 60+3

Thrill data says there are no available Space 220 Lounge reservations between now and April 27. Not sure why they don’t go out farther but it seems to be the hardest reservation to get aside from V&A.

Surprisingly, I scored an ADR for my trip last week at Space 220 Lounge. My ADR time was 3:20 p.m. What really surprised me was that there was only my party and another one in the lounge section during most of meal. There were numerous empty tables. There were also numerous vacant tables in the restaurant. I read all of these threads on the restaurant board about people attempting to secure ADR's and wonder if this restaurant has staffing issues.

One time when we ate it was the same and I asked ~ server said staffing issues directly impact number of guests seated.

One of those you can't win, if you go ahead and seat without staff guests complain about slow service ... if you don't seat, guests don't understand why they couldn't get reservations.

Also your party can’t be more than 4 people not sure if that’s a factor for you
I was actually going to ask about party size. Is 4 the ideal number to try for at the lounge? We are travelling with our adult kids and there are 6 of us total, but if it's easier to get a reservation for fewer that would be better than not getting a reservation at all. (It's a must do for my oldest but the others will not be too disappointed if they can't go.)

Smaller is definitely better in the lounge. Do 2 and 4 or even 2, 2 and 2. Very few larger tables.
