Same thing happened to us - when we had to pick Palo or Remy, we easily picked Remy.Yep. That's exactly what happened to me. I booked one brunch at each restaurant back when we had three sea days so we could try both. Then when they shortened the cruise to one sea day I rebooked Remy. Now there is nothing because they took it out of nowhere with no explanation and only sent a weak "sorry" email a day later that still didn't say why. Lack of communcation and lack of reasoning behind these decisions is making this rollercoaster aggravating.
Maybe it's their way of forcing us to use our onboard credit for staying with this shortened cruise on merchandise.
I'm really struggling with this today and am really sad and not terribly looking forward to the cruise. I know for some, it seems dumb, but fine dining is what is most important to us on the cruise and this was a big celebration. We originally booked B2B 5-nights on the Fantasy in concierge for our 20th wedding anniversary in 2020. We pushed that to 7-night Western this year. Now we are on two 4-nights and no brunch AT ALL. With so many things taken away, there is really not much for us to do on the sea day. And DCL just doesn't care - if we cancel, no big deal. Passengers have zero influence on what they do right now. When I run out all of my FCC and rebooked cruises, Celebrity is really where I think we are headed (after 26 DCL cruises). They seem to have figured out how to sail longer itineraries that actually go places and the suites have their own dining room and upcharge restaurants are included (as is alcohol). Clearly I'm not the demographic that DCL is worried about keeping.
