Unless you really want a new one.
Otherwise, ask CM for a replacement lid. I was able to do so last month. My brother lost the lid to his plastic mug, and the lid on my stainless Moana mug was too loose.
Apologies, I thought I was being nice and giving people a heads up so they could prepare if they were arriving soon and not have to unexpectedly run to Costco like I had to in order to buy drinks. The Cast Member literally said "they're discontinued," so I was simply passing along exactly what I was told. I just got back from vacation and wasn't checking an internet forum while I was away. I'm new here and will try to figure out how to change the title.
We were there last week. Confirming they had both the plastic and stainless steel versions available. The drink machines at Ulu Cafe and the Lava Shack were regular fountains, not Freestyle. They are not RFID enabled like at WDW (I heard this was rumored) - we used a mug from a prior trip with no problem.
The prior location of the station at Off the Hook/'Ama Ama was empty (right next to the Off the Hook mobile order pickup) - apologies if this is old news and it has been relocated. It was still listed on the map.
Here now and wishing I’d read this thread a few weeks ago. There are no freestyle machines and the soda options are much more limited. The coffee is still good though.

I’ll try to snap a pic tomorrow but Coke, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, and cherry coke were more than 1/3 of the total options at Ulu, I believe water shared a spigot with blue Powerade. I don’t think I saw root beer or cream soda.
The machine across from Lava Shack had maybe 5 choices?
There is no sarcasm. One of the things Coke likes about the freestyle machines is that the ratios are factory set and can’t be altered.
That’s the actual reason restaurants don’t like them. I used to work with the former CMO of a very large restaurant chain and he explained at length the battle they’d had to get freestyle machines in - their franchisees revolted because they were all watering down the coke.

I was there three weeks ago and the cups were the same as they were over the summer. Not sure when your last trip was. They are the same mugs that debuted right after the 50th ended.
