Rain and ride closures

We're going to be in WDW this weekend and the weather forecast looks awful. I'm trying to stay positive, but I'm also concerned about ride closures due to rain/lightning.

Do any rides close if it's only raining?

How about lightning- I would assume any ride/attraction that is outdoors, but do any indoor rides close because of lightning?

I'm preparing for the worst (rain jackets/ponchos) but hoping it won't be a bad as forecasted!!
My advice, get the cheap disposable rain ponchos on amazon to bring with you before you go.

I'm a little worried about the lightning Sunday. The upside is that most people that leave don't come back.

Summertime showers can actually be refreshing. And we were there in May once when it drizzled for 3 days straight, but most everyone just put ponchos on and kept going.

You cant’ really rely on a forecast like that until the day of and even then, it’s hour by hour, in my experience, in Orlando. Sounds like you’re going to get some thunderstorms and/or showers on Sunday but a full day of them nonstop is unusual.

I would be more concern with how cool it is suppose to be Mon-Wed. Brrrrrrr....make sure you bring your layers for walking around.
Yes! This would be my greatest concern. With a high in the 50s being damp can feel very cold, even midday when walking around. Mornings and evenings can feel very chilly too, when it’s coldest and people are tired. We learned our lesson to be prepared if we’re doing ropedrop, Fantasmic, Harmonious, etc - it’s less fun when shivering.

There's a low of -2 at home, so I'll take whatever Orlando has to offer. :)

It's unfortunate that the week went from being Cloudy/Mostly-Cloudy to more rain.
yes we are expecting windchills of -20 on Tuesday!!! So WDW will be 70 degrees warmer even at 50 degrees!!

It’s not necessarily unusual during this time of year. It all depends on how fast the cold front moves south and then whether it clears the state, stalls over us, or moves back from south to north. The rain isn’t typically as heavy as the summer storms, but it’s not unusual to have a light rain all day, or for consecutive days, during the winter months. It also depends on how frequent the fronts are. When the weather is bad up north, it is bad here also (just rain vs snow and ice).
