There was quite a bit of merch available last year that wasn’t included in the preview. I have Christmas and birthday gift cards to spend on this trip, it’ll just depend what the other merch is like. Do I spent my cards on the merch or the massage I have booked Monday after the half?

I'm not fond of any of the clothing merch either (and I probably won't buy the Corkcicle...probably), but I'm hoping for a cute challenge shirt or tank.

This will be my first year where I'm able to go to the expo on a Thursday, I understand there is a virtual queue and I have to be within a 45 mile radius but I have a few clarification questions.

45 miles from what exactly? If I assume it is from Wide World of Sports, I'm 40 miles according to google maps... am I probably fine?

How crazy is the expo? Should I bring my husband for security or leave him at our friends because he will think it's a mad house?

Sorry if these are repetitive - I tried to search through old threads but I didn't find answers when pertaining to the Princess Weekend in particular.

Also, anyone planning any meetups this year? I missed last as I ended up with an injury after the 10K but I'd love to make up for it this year

Word of caution on the radius limit: I have heard a lot of people complain in the last couple of years that they were within the actual mileage radius and could not join the VQ. It's not an exact ring around the area, so to the extent you can get a bit closer I would recommend it.

I've never done Princess before, but the first day of any runDisney expo is usually pretty busy especially right when it opens. Give yourself plenty of time and you should be fine.

I am always on team day 2 for the expo if possible.

I’ll be on property early Thursday and I’ll see what VQ group I get. If it’s an early group, I’ll go get the merch and then go back to my hotel. I’ll go back after lunch to get my bib and shirts. If I get a not so good VQ group, then hopefully the opening day rush will have thinned out by the time I get to the expo.
