I was talking to a friend of mine yesterday and she went to Disney World probably about a month ago. She said that it is so expensive and I agreed with her. She said that she was going to buy a disposable camera one day. She said it costed almost $20. I said that Disney is expensive, but a camera is not $20. She kept insisting that it was. I said OK, I will find out. One of my friends from the DIS has to know. Please help me win this bet. How much is a disposable camera? TIA.

BTW, sorry if this is a duplicate.

I want to say it was around $15? I had to buy one once because I forgot ours in the room and we were doing the princess breakfast. I think it was around $15 or $16 but this was a few years ago too so it could have gone up. My memory could also be seriously flawed. ;)

The last time I looked at them, I thought they were around 12-14 bucks. that was a few years ago...we went down to Super Walmart and bought a few for 3.50 each. All because a coworker gave my boys each a disposable camera and told them to bring them back to her after our trip. They got addicted!

My mother bought one and I know it was at least $15 if not more. This was in 2003 when our camera broke.

My camera broke at Epcot last year, so I bought a few disposable cameras. I can't really remember the price, but I'm guessing they were around $12-$15 each. At the Pop gift shop, I got a free pin with it. ;)

Your friend is right. We were at WDW in April. Thought about picking up a camera at Pop. 1 disposable camera was $17.99 before tax. So we went off property to Walgreens and got a 3pack for around $12.

::yes:: The same disposable camera would run about $8.99 in Walmart.

I'm not surprised. In 2000 on our first trip, DS (then 2) picked up a stomach bug that made him go through diapers much faster for a day or so . We were running out of our stash and bought 10 diapers at MK for $7! I can't imagine what they cost now.

I bought two different disposables from WDW last week...the 39 (or 37) exposure was $19.99 and I also bought a two pack 27 exposure each for $23.99....so yes one camera is 19.99...they do have others but I don't know how much they were.

I understand about forgetting your camera and having to pick up a disposable. But I would never go to WDW without MORE than enough film, extra camera, batteries etc. Any theme park/tourist attraction will have outrageous prices on film.

Thanks yall. Now I lose my bet as well as the title of the person with encylclopedic knowledge of disney. Oh well.

I one time made the mistake of buying a disposable, and even with employee discount, I coud STILL buy two at some off-property store.

Last summer at DL the battery died on my digital camera, we paid ar least $20.00 for a disposable in the Paradise Pier gift shop. The cashier should have been wearing a ski mask while taking my money.

OMG!! We were just there and let me tell you, the cameras and fill are way to expensive!!!!!!

My DD's wanted a camera at RnR a pack of 2 Kodak 24 exp was 28.99 :earseek: :earseek:

Single kodak 24 exp were 20.00 .

Then we went to the exp hall to have a cd made from my digital memory card, i was looking around and the pack of 4 rolls kodak 24 exp was $23.00 OMG!!

We had film for the day plus digital, the next day we went to Wal mart and paid 3.96 for a disposable and $8.44 for the same pack of 4 rolls and it had an extra roll of 36 high deft one! Way much better!!

DD's got 2 disp each and i got 2 of those packs of film for about 27.00.

So, my advise get the cameras and film before going to the world.

Also batteries!!! The battery for my 35mm camera is about $9.00 in wal mart or Eckerds, at the world the same batterie is $23.00!!! Come on!!

I'll pay that for a WDW T-shirt, hat, or souveniers but not for things I can get elsewhere for less!
