Pregnant at water park?

I've always noticed rides you can't go on while pg at WDW but never noticed the water parks. I should be 18-22 weeks or so along and want to go to BB and TL in June. ( I haven't had my 1st u/s so am not sure exactly when I got pg and not sure how far along I am).

What am I not able to ride/experience?

No waterslides of any kind. I don't want to get into TMI here, but it has to do with the upward force of the water and the possibility of infections. Also, no jumping into water feet-first.

Swimming in the big pools is fine; the waves won't hurt you. You can also hang out as long as you want in the lazy river, but be prepared to have a pretty hard time getting out of the inner tube. ;)

Thank you! I figure there had to be some limitations just not sure what!

My first trip to a Disney Water park was when I was 31 weeks pregnant. It was great. I spent the whole day in the lazy river and the wave pool. It was a much needed break during that trip. I would highly recommend a water park visit in the middle of your trip while pregnant.

Talk to your Doctor.

I was 6 months pregnant and went to a water park at a popular New Jersey Shore point. My OB told me as long as I was on an inflatable float (no body only/mats) - keep legs together or crossed, I could go down the slides. This was in 2001...mqaybe recommendations have changed.

You can still have fun! I went to a water park (closer to home) the summer I was pregnant with DS. - I didn't do slides, but like another poster said, relaxed in the lazy river, and still enjoyed it a lot. (I went with a big group, so I also appointed myself official photograper and took lots of great pictures of everyone else!)

I've been to BB a few times while pregnant. Typically we go to the waterparks after a few days in the regular parks. It is so refreshing just to float in the "lazy rivers". You'll find it very relaxing.

The wave pool is fine, but I found it somewhat safer not to go toward the front of the pool as there are more people bumping into each other.

Even though you won't be doing the slides, I still believe that you'll have a great time. Going to BB has always been on my "must do" list when pregnant.

No water slides at all. It has to do with the sudden stop/impact at the end. You can only go in the wave pool and the lazy river. I had the worst time getting comfy on the tubes on the lazy river when I was 20 weeks pregnant with DD. I think water parks are a waste of time when you are pregnant. The pool at the resort was perfect however.
