I’m taking some friends for their first time to WDW and I want it to be as great as possible.

Triple split stay for first visit? Alternate/Plan B
At 7 months maybe a BLT 2 bedroom lake view, 7 nights 372 points?
Or 2 bedroom AKV Savana view, 7 nights 349 points?

Honestly, staying in the same place for a week sounds awful to me. lol
Plus I want them to get the feel of multiple resorts. We would probably just do 4/4 split stay in the future, I just want them to get a feel in all three of the main park regions.

Ok, so i've been playing around, with just studios, & got a better idea...

Scenario 1 is bad because i don't have enough points for BLT. add Friday at 7 months
Scenario 2 is ok but it doesn't align with EEH at all (but that may not matter)
Scenario 3 might be the best, it aligns with both EEH (if they happen as expected) add Friday at 7 months
Scenario 2b is the cheapest option, but not sure cheapest should be the priority, as long as i have the points. add Friday at 7 months

AKV doesn't change, but trying to see if i can afford Lake view at BLT & Pref at BWV... i think i can upgrade at 7 months, but can't add Fri AND Sun, but should be able to add one or the other.

Not in front of a computer right now but it looks like you have thrown out the idea of a 1/2 bedroom? Now adding one more day and you would be leaving on Monday?

I don't think any scenario included a 1 or 2bdrm, even though i like the idea, i just dont think i have the points to do it.

• 2 studios, or a 2bdrm (not sure a 1bdrm will work with 2 couples and a child)

I can’t remember if this was mentioned before but what about standard rooms for you and the family that is going has a better view? You could still be on the same floor although at BLT I would request the lake view to be a higher floor for the better view. Would that allow you to book everything at 11 months?

Yes, i would love to do it, but as the points/charts show i don't have enough for a 2bdrm, without going significantly less days.
We're going to VGC in December, so we'll see how they feel about the Murphy/Sofa, but not sure how to plan for that in Oct. lol

Yes, i'd be happy to let them have the better view. I think i'm going to try for standard views, but if i cant get 2, they can definitely have the nicer view, or if im too slow and i cant get standard for either of us, then we'll both be in Preferred/Lake, etc. but even if we get standard, it doesn't leave enough to bump up to a 2bdrm elsewhere. And I won't compromise on the Savanna view. lol

I think the only way i have a chance is if we go in January instead and do standard rooms. (which i'm not opposed to either)

I've been playing around with it since it looks like EEH won't even be happening in Oct, so the Mon & Wed nights don't matter, so i may be back to my original plan. AKV > BWV > BLT.

And if we add Friday, i wouldn't even get a park ticket for Sat, except a MNSSHP instead to give us all day to recoup from time difference & do some feeling around the world.
*edit #2* MNSSHP is on Sun (not Sat), so no need to come a day early.

They are happening this October but not one at MK. With MNSSHP they shift from MK to other parks. Obviously we can’t tell right now for 2025 but we can make predictions based on previous years.

I'm not to sure its worth scheduling around that, but looks like Wed at BWV would still line up, but unfortunately not AK on Mon.

I think i can actually do 2bdrms at BLT as well, if i don't add Friday (or Sun), but then now i'm back to 2bdrms & ending in studios (unless i can figure out how to do the AKV in 2bdrm as well). smh I gotta go to bed, this stuff kills me, there seriously should be a website that does all of this by a single click here and there. lol

Even if I only do 2bd at BWV it will be great, just a little bummer going to BLT studios after.

2. In 2025, WDW is starting a new perk where you get to go to a waterpark for free on your arrival day. If you move twice, each of those move days becomes an "arrival day" and you can go to the waterpark for free. This might help save on your park ticket prices.

Hmm good point, booking will just have to see how it goes and aim for whatever we can get and put in a waitlist I guess. Worst case we’re back in pref/pool studios.

1. They own at BWV so I’m still thinking it would be easier to get a 2 bedroom vs 2 studios especially if it would be for standard view.
2. Very good point we are flying in late so we are staying offsite that night then we will checkin to boardwalk and head to whichever water park is open.

Sorry to bust this but BLT will not work this way since you are trying to take advantage of your 11 month window at each resort.

OTUP can only be used at the 7 month window. You can still buy them so that you can keep BWV in your back pocket or you can combine whatever AKL/BWV points at 7 months.

If you book 2 standard BLT studios at 11 months do you have enough points?

If so I would secure the standard studios at 11 months and then modify one or both to lake view at 7 months as there should be plenty available at BLT.
