Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if we don’t take the pictures they request for online check in or they aren’t acceptable, are they able to still take them at the port?

Thank you!

You have to upload a picture in order to continue with the online check in process. If after review the photo is rejected, you will receive an email to submit a new one. If needed, they can take a new one at the port.

I can only speak to my experience. When doing the online check in for our last cruise I was able to download pictures for both myself and my husband. When I was done I received the message that something needed to be checked, and the check in, while completed, was not accepted. Never got any notice as to what was wrong. About 3 days before the cruise the problem, apparently, got "fixed" and we were told we were good to go.

When we checked in at the port, we were told the system hadn't accepted my husbands photo. They took another and we then allowed to board.

So, yes, in our instance, they were taking photos at the port.

But, as long as you submit a picture, you can complete the check in. Whether the picture is a "good" one or not, doesn't matter
True, but I noticed as long as my dad's passport was not in compliance, we couldn't try to modify the PAT. That was all locked. As soon as I resubmitted though, it opened up again.

I am so nervous about this. I am NOT computer savvy, but, then again, my daughter will know about the trip by then and she can help me. LOL :rotfl2:

If you are able to make a post here which you are you will be able to submit the pictures. It’s really not that hard. I did all of mine from my phone.

As long as your picture is not the same as your passport one, it *should* be ok. Just a simple headshot against a plain background. It doesn't have to be a glamour shot.

It doesn't have to be a glamour shot
I can testify to the fact that mine was definitely not a glamour shot. I very nearly deleted it to start again but since any other pictures wouldn't look different, I just went with it. No problems with it. Which was very disappointing because it was a horrible photo but apparently they thought it was reasonably representative. I consoled myself by having several soft-serve ice cream cones once we boarded.

I just took a selfie against a white wall and did the same for my kids. All got approved with out any issues.

I always just use the most recent pic I have for each of us with 2 major criteria: Nothing covering any part of the face (hats/sunglasses/etc), and no other faces in the photo. I don’t take many pictures of myself so they are often pics taken on our last visit to a Disney Park. I’ve only had photos rejected during check-in when there is more than one person in the picture, and I’ve only had them flagged once, maybe twice, after the fact, across more than 20 uploaded photos at checkin.

I tried to upload at least 5 different pictures. Including the pictures that were accepted for our last cruise. I finally called and was told there was an issue, after about 15 minutes on hold I was told my pictures were accepted. No idea which of the 5 they accepted, but I had to call, just could not complete online …apparently there was an issue.
