-Bistro de Paris in EPCOT will be renamed Monsieur Paul when it opens in early December.

-Disney Park Hours UPDATED.

- Curious how to pack? Check Accuweather for the latest weather related news in Lake Buena Vista

-SNACKS. Here's a nice list of snacks to try while at the World. We will not discuss fat and calorie count.

- December 6th will be a BUSY day at WDW. Just announced on the DP Blog that Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow walk-through at DHS will open that day.

- Awesome Disney Transportation Map

- FLE in soft opening.

- The Tomorrowland Terrace Wishes Dessert Party is now open for ADRs in December!

- Check out these great tips for photographing Disney during the holidays! Here's a blog entry on the best spots to photograph Wishes.

- Gaston's Tavern (quick service) will feature warm cinnamon rolls as its signature sweet throughout the day. LeFou's Brew, a signature beverage, is a no-sugar-added frozen apple juice, with toasted marshmallow flavoring, topped with passion fruit-mango foam. It will be available in standard cups as well as souvenir steins and goblets.

-Fantasyland Land Expansion (FLE) officially opens on December 6th, with previews to start November 16th!! Here's a video that reveals more of the expansion and some of the animatronics too! AP holder preview begins 11/3.

- Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage is now open for booking in December.

-Sleigh rides at Fort Wilderness are now open for booking!

- EPCOT's Candlelight Processional dining packages ADRs opened on Tuesday, June 26. Most up to date list of speakers can be found here.

So your parents are out here too? That's great. It must be a huge change to move across an ocean. I thought 450 miles was a lot!!

So this carrots and parsnips sounds yummy to me... How is it cooked?

Yes, it worked out well OMG, HUGE HUGE change. Its amazing how every day daily life is SO different you just don't realise it. You'll laugh but even cooking was different - you use much more sodium in things like stock cubes (boullion) so I had to adapt my recipes the altitude is different so cooking times are way off what I'm used to. Preparing for storms (our prep in the UK is zero ... a couple of claps of thunder and we're done, its national news if a tree gets struck by lightening because that never happens) All this silly little stuff that you take for granted ..... It was tough for me at first, I won't lie but now I wouldn't be anywhere else

Carrot & Parsnip is so yummy. Boil them up til soft, then mash them together with butter and a little black pepper.

Good morning, all! I am about to start my (at least a) week in special ed preschool. One child in there scratches, pinches, and tries to run away. Another child is more violent, slaps and even head-butted the teacher, oh and threw poo at her past week. Should be fun. Think of me while I am defending myself and pulling children off of bookshelves. Oh the joys of teaching! I feel bad because the teacher is great, but man, I don't want her job!

It was kinda random .... DH and I had decided we were moving here long before we had Bronwyn, just hadn't decided where. My parents were sad but encouraged us, said it was a better place to raise a family. It was complicated (really hard to move to this country from the UK) fast forward a bit and my Dad calls and says "Guess what, I've been offered a transfer to Atlanta" .... weird, it had never come up before, he didn't even know they had an office in Atlanta. So whilst me & DH are trying to find a way in through paperwork, my parents upped and left ... got here before us We visited a few times and loved it here - the laid back pace, the 'quirky' Southern way and the fact it is covered in trees, reminds me of England in a way. Everyone was so welcoming and we just felt right at home.

That is too funny that your parents made it here before you. Glad that you didnt have to be so far away from them in order to follow your own dreams.

I'm with the English then on Sodium! too much salt in a lot of stuff... Hmm maybe I'll make those instead of mashed potatoes! Haha maybe I'll complicate thanksgiving and theme it around the world showcase!!! Hahaha

I'm with the English then on Sodium! too much salt in a lot of stuff... Hmm maybe I'll make those instead of mashed potatoes! Haha maybe I'll complicate thanksgiving and theme it around the world showcase!!! Hahaha

I always do an 'English Christmas' evening - its casual, everyone & anyone is invited and we make sausage rolls, mince pies, mulled wine & hot chocolate. We eat & play Christmas music. Then the day after Christmas Day is Boxing Day (its a Holiday in the UK) and it is tradition to eat left over cold meats (we have turkey, pork, ham) chips (British fries, which are fat & fluffy) and a selection of British pickles - our pickles are very different from US ones. We have a choice of Trifle and Spotted Dick & custard for dessert. We invite our neighbours over for that and they love it

Oooo, that sounds delicious!! Do the carrots and parsnips cook in the same ant of time or do you boil them separately??
