Paradise to the Treasure-A Polynesian/Eastern Caribbean/Spring Adventure 2025...Updated 4/21

I forgive you for not liking Dinosaur, I love it enough for both of us! :rotfl:
It looks like the croc search won out on a meet up, I totally get it, I knew it was probably a slim chance we would see each other! We will have to get together again at sometime! We both love Disney and will definitely be there the same time again.
I love The Boathouse, the rolls and the Duck Duck Razz drink! Yum!

Good thing she doesn't read these things!

Oh... wait...

You are so in trouble.

So right after dissing her, you're all like "I should go see her!"

"I don't like Caroline's ride."
"Let's go see Caroline!"
"I don't care if I don't see Caroline."
Oh my gosh, you made me LOL!

It sounds much worse when you put it that way! :rotfl2:

I was definitely on a mission! Next time I'll buy you a Key Lime Martini to make up for it!

Boathouse and Fireworks

Last time I went to The Boathouse I had their burger and loved it, but since we had just had burgers the previous night, we decided to try the

Filet Mignon Sliders* (Three Sliders)

Maitre d' Butter
IMG_2572.jpeg
and we shared the

Truffle Fries

Lemon Aioli
IMG_2573.jpeg

The sliders were good but kind of plain. If I'm being honest, we probably would have preferred the burger, but the fries were amazing, especially with the lemon aioli!

Since we finished dinner nice and early, we had plenty of time to poke around the shops.
Of course I had to check the World of Disney store for my Crocs and surprise, surprise...
they had every size except mine! :sad1:

Had to take a pic of Allie with Orange Bird
IMG_2576.jpeg

We skipped Gideons because we figured we wouldn't be allowed to take any leftovers on the ship with us the next day. But we were both wanting a little something sweet and there was a snack I had heard a lot about that I had always wanted to try...
IMG_2582.jpeg

We shared the made to order Artisan S'more...
IMG_2583.jpegIMG_2585.jpeg
Probably not the greatest idea to share because it was really hard to break in half and made such a mess! Also, the house made graham cracker was kind of too soft. This was fine and I'm glad we tried it but given a choice next time we'd go back to Gideon's for a cookie.

We headed out of Disney Springs after that and this time we remembered the Happily Ever After started at 8:15pm, so we sat on the chairs at the Poly tower and watched from there.
We had a much better view than the night before...
IMG_2589.jpeg

Afterwards we went back to the room and got ready for the next morning.
We were taking DCL transfers to Port Canaveral and had gotten an email that they were going to pick up our luggage in the room at 7am so we wanted to have our clothes and toiletries all situated and ready for that.

Sounds interesting, but...

...but, darn.
I did notice from your photo that they looked a bit plain. Had hoped to hear otherwise.

Oh, come on!!
We skipped Gideons because we figured we wouldn't be allowed to take any leftovers on the ship with us the next day.
Already! That came up quick!

Looks like it would be. Gonna need a whole pile of napkins!

Whelp... now ya know.
Your dining experience at DTD wasn't a roaring success!

That sounds fun! Do you have the dates yet?
No dates in stone as yet but would be looking at the end of July/early August.
Flight of Passage!
This was my favorite ride until Guardians opened and I still love it!
I waited about 30 minutes in line and passed the time on FaceTime with my DH
so it seemed to go by quickly.
30 min standby is not bad at all!
The French Toast was also in the kids's menu which I would have preferred
but I thought the Frittata sounded healthier so I went with that.
I would have had to try that French Toast although the Frittata looks good too.
The last must-do for me this day was to visit Dinoland before it closed
and have one last ride on Dinosaur so I headed that way and passed Kevin as I did!
I love Kevin.
I'm glad I went but I can't say I'm sad that it's closing 🫣
Shhhh....don't tell Caroline!
Same...sorry Caroline!
I decided to console myself with my favorite snack on WDW property...
Oh my goodness, that cookie is the BEST!
They brought out the yummy Parker House Rolls right away...
4 pieces of happiness right there. 😋
[]I ordered the [/]

[]Duck Duck Razz [/]

[]Skyy Raspberry Vodka, Blue Curacao, Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup[/]
This drink is cute but deadly. Don't ask me how I know....:rotfl::rotfl:

Hi Liesa! I'm just trying to get back into these as well! SO happy you are here!
And I'm happy to be here! :) I've actually been thinking a lot about you lately for a specific reason... but I'll save that and tell you soon... ;)
:rotfl2: No pun intended?!
Buahahahaha! Totally didn't mean to, but there we are.
I agree though! The only LL's I usually buy now are GOTG and FOP! Otherwise, I rope drop and get on pretty much everything I care to.
I pulled a muscle really badly trying to speed walk last trip (I'll write about that in a later chapter) so I have to be careful now with RD. Yes, I'm so friggin' old and out of shape. UGH.
[]Satu'li Canteen had recently started serving breakfast and it sounded interesting
so after my ride on a Banshee, I headed there.
I was torn between the:

[]Frittata and Beef [/]

WOW! Had no idea. I tried a new brekkie item at AK last time and it wasn't so good. I'll do this one next time. But usually just stick with a latte and ham cheese croissant from Starbucks for my AK mornings. Need to bust out of that rut.
That's one of the major drawbacks of solo travel...you don't get to sample as much food!
THIS!

1,000,000%
Awww, how cute. Had no idea there was a new critter and sad to have missed him/her? Poop.
I was on in less than 5 minutes...thank you single rider line!
FOR REALS! SRL FTW!
I really wanted those Crocs so I turned around and headed out of the park after literally spending all of 10 minutes in there! I know, I'm a crazy person!
You ARE a crazy woman! LOL!! But, know what, with such a perfect day to just walk and be outside with a quest like that? What's not to love?

Okay, THIS is the fun banter of "the Golden Olden Days of the DIS"! This cracks me up so hard, y'all! :lmao:

The sliders were good but kind of plain.
Yeah, not looking so delicious to me.
Since we finished dinner nice and early, we had plenty of time to poke around the shops.

Naturally.
WOW! That sure looks good, but yeah, needs a crunchy cracker for sure.
Gideon's for a cookie.
One of those cookies literally lasts me about a week. No exaggeration.

No dates in stone as yet but would be looking at the end of July/early August.
Sounds good! I hope I can make my schedule work!

30 min standby is not bad at all!
Nope! Especially since it was too early for the LL people so the line was constantly moving.

I would have had to try that French Toast although the Frittata looks good too.
I considered getting both because I really wanted to try that French Toast!

Same...sorry Caroline!
:goodvibes

I agree! Definitely worth a trip on the skyline!

:rotfl2:Uh oh! I'd love to know that story!

Ooooo...think about moving to CT maybe? :rotfl2:

Every day is a new ache or pain at this age!

I liked that it wasn't just pastries added, it was real food with lots of protein :thumbsup2

I had been seeing him all over social media, otherwise I wouldn't have had any idea either!

Exactly! It was the perfect weather for wandering!

Yes! 🥰

Same! And we would have had to toss it because they don't allow open food on the cruise so we just skipped it.

Almost sounds like someone messed up. I mean... would anyone just serve a hunk of meat on a bun with nothing else???
A sauce would have brought these up a notch, or maybe a scrap of lettuce? I ended up just taking the last one off the roll and just eating the meat because we had already had the rolls before dinner too so I didn't need three more with dinner! :rotfl:

Ooooo...think about moving to CT maybe? :rotfl2:
mmmm, not quite. ;)
Every day is a new ache or pain at this age!
It hurts getting out of bed so hard.
I liked that it wasn't just pastries added, it was real food with lots of protein :thumbsup2
Exactly! Looked so hearty and yummy!
I had been seeing him all over social media, otherwise I wouldn't have had any idea either!
I've been on social media a lot less so it makes sense I missed that.
Same! And we would have had to toss it because they don't allow open food on the cruise so we just skipped it.
I stored my non-perishables with Bell Services between resort stays for my cruise. :) Worked well, but if you weren't going back, it'd be a total waste.

So... odd that they'd serve it like that. :confused3

Hi Kelly! So fun to see a new report from you! One of these times we'll have to try to meet up again!! The new Poly tower looks so great and I'm excited to try that new burger. I'd feel the same way about washing dishes in the bathroom sink. I also agree on Trader Sam's. I'd go again with first timers but personally don't feel the need to return precisely because they just seem so bothered about everything - where you want to sit, if you want to leave something out of a drink etc. It's just a hassle that's not worth it, IMO. I like the patio much better (and can still get the mugs there). Love how remote work is transforming the ability for so many of us to travel. I'm intrigued to see if WDW will try to create more quiet(ish) work spaces.

Aw, too bad! Haha! But I'm sure you've had your fill of moving!

That was really smart and good to know they'll do that!

Hi Kelly!
Hi!! So happy you found me here!

So fun to see a new report from you!
It's been too long!

One of these times we'll have to try to meet up again!!
Absolutely!!

I also agree on Trader Sam's. I'd go again with first timers but personally don't feel the need to return precisely because they just seem so bothered about everything - where you want to sit, if you want to leave something out of a drink etc. It's just a hassle that's not worth it, IMO.
100% Agree! We won't be back unless Allie wants to bring her boyfriend sometime in the future or something like that!

I like the patio much better (and can still get the mugs there).
Good to know! Mike and I have some mugs we've collected over the years. I haven't seen any lately that are must haves for us...plus I am running out of space for them so I have to be very choosy!

I'm intrigued to see if WDW will try to create more quiet(ish) work spaces.
I hope so. Allie and I were just planning our December trip and it looks like she will need a work space for one day at BLT. We are heading down on 12/9 and she wants to work 1/2 day but instead of working the morning and flying at 3 pm, I convinced her to fly down at 7am and work from there since it's my birthday and then we can head out and have dinner at Disney Springs or something :goodvibes
