Pandora vs. Alex & Ani?

Looking for opinions. I have a Chamilia bracelet that I bought a couple years ago. I have some great charms on it, but the tarnishing drives me crazy. I find that I don't wear it that much because I think it looks so blah. Never was into Alex and Ani before, but thinking about starting that. Does anyone have a preference of Alex and Ani vs. Chamilia/Pandora? Why/why not?

I have a pandora bracelet, and if you buy the metal ones, they give you a little cloth bag that is supposed to stop it from tarnishing so quickly (and it seems to work). My aunt has a TON of Alex and Ani bracelets, and she wears them all at once, and I personally think they look kinda tacky wearing so many, and clunky too. Thats why I like pandora more, because its one bracelet (I now have two - a metal and leather one which I wear them at the same time) and you can add charms to them without buying a whole new bracelet with is just another thing going around your wrist. Plus, I like it when people ask me what each of my charms represent, and when people ask my aunt that with her bracelets, she has to take them all off and sort them out because they tend to link together.

I LOVE Alex & Ani! I have about 20, but I don't wear them all at the same time. I mix them up with leather straps, beaded bracelets, MantraBands, my Love bangle, etc. Plus, they help hide my ugly FitBit!

I just never got into the whole Pandora thing. The "beads" are crazy expensive, in my opinion - you can buy two Alex & Ani bracelets for the price of one Pandora bead. Plus, the Pandora bracelets aren't really my style.

That said - you can't go wrong with either one! They're great ways to remember trips and events, while also showing off your personal style!

I have both, although I don't have a Disney Alex and ani. I don't wear them together.

I have not been happy with the pandora and chamilia beads. I just don't feel like they are worth the money. I have bought some of the Disney beads off of amazon, and I feel like they are a much better price, and value. I have had my chamiilia beads loose color, and for a $60 bead, that is frustrating. If the $12 bead does that, I'm not too worried.

I have three Alex and Ani bracelets, which I often mix with one of several other bracelets. They are light and airy, and a lot of fun.

Thanks for the replies. I love the Pandora, and even though I know I can clean it, it seems like I always need to. Do you guys who have the Alex and Ani notice that they tarnish as well?

I have a 'hard' pandora bracelet (although I think mine may be Chamillia), and I've had no issues with tarnishing at all.

I personally prefer the beads to all the Alex & Ani ones, but that's personal preference.

I love Pandora and have 2 almost full bracelets that I wear together often. I'm not a fan of dangles, so I prefer the pandora. I plan to get myself a charm in the park on our next trip!

I have both too, and I really like them. Pros: pandora has zillions of cool beads to pick from, and it's neat to put together a custom bracelet. And it's only one bracelet to wear. Con: it can be rather clunky to wear, beads are $$ and if you are like me, my arm hairs get caught in braclet!! Ouch!!

Alex bracelets, pros: light, easy to wear, and they are made from recycled materials!! Cheaper than pandora. Cons: can't add charms, must buy each bracelet for a charm. Since they are so light, I worry about bending them by accident

I have both. I wear the Alex and Ani on one arm with my Disney watch and I have an older Mickey head bracelet that looks like a tennis bracelet and I wear my real tennis bracelet on that hand too. I haven't had any problems with the Alex and Ani I never take any of my bracelets or my watch off. They even perhaps have a little more shine to them than when I bought them because I noticed when I got my DVC Alex and Ani it was a bit darker and now it's almost the same color. I only have 4 of them my daughter and I have matching bracelets so that's fun.

I wasn't going to do the Disney Pandora I already had their regular Pandora but DH came home from a business trip with a bracelet and 3 charms for Valentines day. He saw it in the airport and he was right I loved it. So needless to say this morn they released all the new 2015 charms as well as others and the WDW bracelet on the Disney Store website and I bought the bracelet and castle couldn't help myself.

I get all kinds of compliments on all my Disney jewelry I even bedazzled my magic band with tiny rhinestone Mickey heads I put on with crazy glue.
