OKW Boats to DS Down

At OKW now. FYI Boats to DS will be down until sometime in April while they dredge the canal.

We don’t usually use the boats since we always have a car & prefer to drive & park; especially since the boats stopped making three stops & only stop at the very far end of the Marketplace.

I live by the boats when staying there - even sometimes use them going to or coming back from theme parks, just because I like boats.

They usually have to shut them down for some weeks or months around Spring until the rainy season picks up - I wonder if the dredging project is an attempt to render them usable for longer periods of time during the dry seasons. Either way, I don't stay at OKW during late winter through Spring because of the chance the boat will be down.

My first thought when I read this was that this was a dumb time to have the boats down, because Easter and spring break are coming, so I'd think they'd be busy. But then zackiedog explained the reason.

I live by the boats when staying there - even sometimes use them going to or coming back from theme parks, just because I like boats.

Since DS is another adult who likes boats, and would use them whenever he can, how do you get back from theme parks to OKW using the boats?

Unfortunately a bus has to be involved at some point - but I will often walk out of the three parks that have attached resorts, hop that resort bus to Disney Springs, then take the Springs boat back to OKW.
