Same.We did not finance, and had to have documents notarized as the buyer.
Maybe something has changed?
I wonder if we used the same broker and title company to close. My documents were 2 pages long, I did not even know they were the closing documents and was waiting for something similar to the deed posted above. Did you purchase title insurance? I have an earlier post where I was really worried as it was hard to get title insurance, which I finally did through First American Title.Yep...I'm still waiting on this one. I closed 4/6 and the deed recorded 4/11 (allegedly; I can't find it on the Hawaii Board of Conveyances site and Disney Member Admin doesn't show it). My title agent is MIA...hoping to hear from the broker. I'll update as I hear more.
Only 2 pages? No closing statement?I wonder if we used the same broker and title company to close. I agree that this is definitely not confidence inspiring. I’m going to look through my documents and see what they say. I just thought Hawaii did things differently.Only 2 pages? No closing statement?
But the deed did show up on the DoC website and your contract is in your membership with all your points available?I agree that this is definitely not confidence inspiring. I’m going to look through my documents and see what they say. I just thought just Hawaii did things differently.
Yes, that’s correct. But I’m not sure how that happened if I didn’t sign the deed and notarize it like the one above. Might need to contact the Bureau of Conveyancing next week. But the deed did show up on the DoC website and your contract is in your membership with all your points available?
Can’t see how Disney would transfer the contract without a recorded deed. And it shows on the BoC websiteYes, that’s correct. But I’m not sure how that happened if I didn’t sign the deed and notarize it like the one above. Might need to contact the Bureau of Conveyancing next week.
I checked my records and definitely have a recorded deed! I did not have my documents notarized, but I do have my Disney membership and points, so I guess everything was fine. Such a relief!Any updates today for anyone?
Heard from my guide ... no points at Disney member admin.Any updates today for anyone?
Reading this whole thread left a pit in my stomach. We wrapped up on a resale Aulani contract yesterday. It was not financed and both of us had to have the docs notarized.Heard from my guide ... no points at Disney member admin.
Heard from my broker ... said it can take 60 days from recording to appear on BoC website (not sure about that per other member's reports on here of same day) and that the escrow agent had a death in the family which is why she is MIA (understandable)...but I should rest assured that deed was recorded. Somehow, I am not reassured. More to follow I'm guessing. Starting to think my other Aulani contract (3 weeks behind) might hit my dashboard first. Glad this was a really small contract (50 points) in case the whole thing heads south.
From the other thread:OK...so I now have a copy of the recorded deed (dated 4/13). Yay! Still not on the BoC site and still nada from Disney MA, but I'm feeling better about the whole thing with the deed in hand.
So it may be in the next batch...Okay, I got in contact with the Hawaii Board of Conveyances staff (amazingly quick response, btw... excellence customer service), and it has been recorded, but not yet indexed. My deed was recorded on 5/16/22, and they have only indexed up to 5/12/22. Crisis averted!
Yeah, I reached out to the title company last Saturday to get a ballpark on when I might see closing docs as I've got some business travel over the next few days and wanted to plan accordingly (not asking for it to be expedited or anything, just when I might see it). Crickets.Heard from my guide ... no points at Disney member admin.

Hope you hear back and it all goes smoothly. I have a copy of the recorded deed now; which I sent to my guide (trying to get in on a promo for owners that ends May 1). She's going to try to work it from her end.Yeah, I reached out to the title company last Saturday to get a ballpark on when I might see closing docs as I've got some business travel over the next few days and wanted to plan accordingly (not asking for it to be expedited or anything, just when I might see it). Yeah, I’m in no hurry as it’s a December UY with no 2022 points, so I don’t need them for anything right now. Just getting busy with other stuff and want to check it off my list.Hope you hear back and it all goes smoothly. In other news, I had a huge pile of paperwork notarized and FedEx'd yesterday in order to close on my second Aulani resale contract. Shrug.
