New McKim's Mile House and ImaginAtrium Member Lounge >> NOW OPEN! 3/18/25 <<

I’ll go check out this lounge but sure won’t buy the MMB for those perks. Minus the drink & snack, I can just step on over to the Country Bear Jamboree for an A/C rest break.

For me, priority access to the lounge was major factor. @pkrieger2287 and @Amy Krieger speak to this in their new video in the review section - and I completely agree... I would've been really disappointed as a member of a paid perks program to not even be able to register for a spot.

Many posters have commented on never having to wait for the lounge, that has not been our experience. And as a family with young kids, being able to pay for MMB+ which makes it more likely we will be able to access the lounge when we want to... getting a message that we can get in 3 hours later, they might be napping, we might be back at our hotel, having a long wait for the lounge really does reduce the benefit of it...

"Priority access" to the lounge, along with the OTUP were the main reason why we purchased MMB+. That is our anecdotal/personal experience.

Regarding the idea of expanded hours, I completely agree with the above poster who mentioned that as an Idea. That would be a big win. Maybe 10 AM-8 PM would really help with it...

It is clear they will need to expand to additional sites for lounges at MK and/or expand this lounge.

I also think it was a big miss to not include bathrooms, given that everyone has spoken to that being a major disadvantage to EPCOT, they have added them in the Disney Springs "non-lounge" lounge (I forget what they call it? Meeting center?), and they included them at Disney Land.

Some of this will calm down when the initial excitement wears off... But, I do think the lounge is too small for the capacity of the park it serves, as well as the nature (a full day experience about to get even bigger with Beyond Big Thunder/Villains Land) of the park MK is. That expansion doesn't even include solving Alien Encounter/Stich's Great Escape issue... maybe that could become a DVC lounge?

My hope is that a DVC Lounge will be added to AK in the former DinoLand U.S.A. presented by McDonald's area when it is done, and perhaps they could take some space that is underutilized at Disney's MGM-Studios to add one there as well.

If i could never get into the lounge i would buy MMB for that, i saw people post on here that MMB wins and they bought it because they wanted access when it came out, so people do buy for just that if they weren't motivated before. For me I would like the memory maker, otu and priority lounge so it would def make sense for me to buy this product but yeah if I'm already paying 30k direct what's another $99 for that lounge priority 🤣🤣

I personally hope MMB fails, mostly because I disagree with the principal of the stupid lounge priority thing. Even if I did get kicked out of line in favor of someone with MMB, I still wouldn't buy MMB, because that would mean that the "class system" that MMB creates is even worse than I thought.
100% this.

The MMB “jump the line” is a big downgrade to “regular” direct DVC owners.

We aren’t going to be buying it either, mainly on the principle, but also that it doesn’t offer us any benefit other than just moving up Lounge waitlists which used to not cost $99…

And, it makes me less likely to buy more points if that’s the way they treat their longtime customers.

Someone mentioned Lay's. The snack I got was Ms. Vickie's chips. I'd actually prefer Lay's.

I also wish they would bring back the gummy bears.

The snacks when first opened at Epcot were more substantial, even though they were passed out every hour or so. I like that I can now serve myself my one snack (if I actually want it.) Many times I've not taken a snack as I didn't really want it. Mostly want a drink that I can ice down so that I don't have to spend $3 or $4? on some big thing I'll end up tossing because I don't want to carry it.

Also, if I'm doing stuff in World Showcase, the lounge is not on my route. My use is usually in the early morning when I might visit the Land and then grab food and escape the loud roar of Sunshine Seasons for the quiet cool (and free drink) in the lounge. Before the lounge I used to get food and take it outside.

How do they know if you purchased MMB? Is there something to show to get on the waitlist if it's busy?

So I just returned from a week long RIV stay and on Sunday, we visited the new lounge at the Magic Kingdom. We arrived at the lounge around 11:10am and the line to "check in" was not too bad (about 4 families ahead of me in line). After my magic band was scanned, I was given the nice pin and told I was third in line to enter (yes, I have MMB) so keep an eye on text messages. The CM said that there were 36 parties in line who were not MMB by that time. I waited about 5-6 minutes and we were able to enter. The lounge was lovely and the chairs we sat in (party of 4) were so comfy! The snacks were baked lays, the teddy graham crackers, and sour cream lays. We stayed for about 25 minutes and left--it was a very nice experience. While the lounge was NOT the reason we purchased MMB, it was a refreshing break on a warm day. We also visited the EPCOT lounge on Wednesday this week, arrived around 11:30am and walked in with no wait at all--we just went right up. :-)

MMB came in handy in a massive way today about 12:10. Walked up to the podium and there were quite a few people milling around and waiting. Lots of others getting registered and leaving.

We were first on the MMB waitlist and waited all of thirty seconds before being called.

I have a neurodivergent son and husband, so having expedited access to a quiet space to cool off inside the park was well worth it for us. Putting aside the feelings about the program and whether Disney should offer it at all, I am very thankful we purchased it.

We are DL locals, so also access the lounge there quite regularly. The snack situation in WDW is so much better than DL!

We were there over spring break. FWIW we had a great experience with MMB.

In fact, we waited longer in the line to get on the waitlist (maybe 20-30 people ahead of us) - many park visitors were stopping to ask what that long line was for... Once we got to the front they acknowledged the MMB and told us to not go too far. We were in the lounge less than 10 minutes later.

Later in the day, we met a couple on Tom Sawyer Island who asked us if we visited the lounge and how long our wait was (they saw some DVC apparel I was wearing, so they asked). Apparently, they were on the waitlist for 90+ minutes and still waiting. Grant it, it was much later in the day, so probably a longer waitlist by then.

Would I buy MMB just for that? Definitely not. But with other uses for MMB (like the OTU points), this is an extra nice perk to have for now. I expect the value of priority lounge access will greatly diminish over time because the waitlists at McKim will surely get a lot shorter as the novelty wears off (just like it's no longer impossible to get reservations at the Space 220 restaurant at 60 days out - you can now easily do it even at 45+ days out). The day we went to EPCOT was a hot spring break day and there was no waitlist for that lounge for anyone.

Sitting in McKim’s right now. We are not MMB peeps, and we arrived at the lounge around 1:30. Got on the wait list and waited about 20 minutes. It’s a nice space, tables are spaced nicely. I do wish there was somewhere to charge a phone. Seems odd to not have that capability.

There's no USB outlets? That is strange, considering the lounge at EPCOT has them, and it is many years old. Plus there are public USB outlets outside, in the courtyard area behind spaceship earth.

Was at MK on Sat 4/5 to meet 3 friends. It was hot last week! I wanted to check out the lounge so we headed that way shortly after 11. There was a long line of folks waiting to check in but it moved rather quickly. We didn’t mind the wait as we were more interested in catching up than rides. At the podium, CM told me that my MMB would come in handy, and to not move far. We got around the corner to use the restrooms and got the text to return.
I really like this lounge more than the one at Epcot. Feels much cozier. In addition to the Lay’s chips, there were granola bars, teddy grahams and apple chips.

I saw none.

DH and I checked out the new lounge last Saturday (Apr 12). We joined the line a few minutes before 11am (there was 1 family ahead of us). Once inside DH got us a soda and some Cool Ranch Doritos as a snack. I left DH there while I used my lightning lane for Tiana's ride. DH enjoyed the amenities of the lounge while he was waiting for me. We thought the lounge was very nice. I agree with the other comments about it being pretty small, though. I imagined the lounge was going to be larger and thought they might have gone up another level for increased capacity.

They are not at every seating area. Seemed pretty random as to which tables had them and didnt. I saw a CM hand out a charging cord for someone to use once too.
Yes I agree it seems like should be at every seating area. We had one at our location, the round table with 4 large chairs across from the snacks.

I wonder if they would provide fuel rods for the areas lacking the charging capabilities.
