New info 2012 Dining plan information

The 2012 dining plan has been updated with a lot of the restaurants at DD now available that previously weren't.

Here are the new restaurants that I noticed were available that weren't in 2011

Bistro de Paris (2TS)
Fultons Crab House (2TS)
Wolfgang Puck upstairs dining room (2TS)

Rainforest Cafe at AK and DD
TRex
Bongos Cuban Cafe
House of Blues
Portobello
Paradiso 37


I didn't check the quick service brochure to see if there were any updates to that. My TA sent me the regular dining plan link since that is what I have on my package

The brochure is in a new format too with character meals, 1TS and 2TS separated into their own areas

Personally I am glad to see some new options

Wow, that is a pretty significant expansion... Almost all of the non-plan restaurants at DTD and the couple in the parks have signed on!

Crud, I always booked those wonderful non DDP participants as they seemed unaffected by the limited menus and less than stellar choices. I may be eating off site even more this year!

Dare I say, some of those additions are actually exciting.
Particularly the upstairs at Wolfgang Puck, and Bistro.

Now I need to consider whether to change any of my February dining....
Not an easy decision.

It is there under the TS list

The new format separates the restaurants based on what type of dining credit it is. The first list is Quick service, then a different list for table service, a different list for character meals and lastly the list for the signature restaurants

Wow! I'm actually pretty shocked that almost all the non-DDP restaurants are now on it??? I'm finding it pretty hard to believe.

but, I went and looked again and it looks legit.

Those of us who don't use the plan still have the Swan and Dolphin. Unless we'd like to rent a car.

Awesome! Thanks for the info! I was going to check the DP brochure at the end of the month to see the updates, but now I dont have to. By the looks of some of the new additions, I may need to check out some other menus for some new possibilities

I posted after my Sept trip about a conversation I had with a waitress at House of Blues. She said they had been told that they'd be accepting the DDP as of January 1st. She also said the menu was changing effective early Dec and was able to show me pages that had pictures and descriptions of the new items. The menus had not gone to press yet.

I just tried to get an ADR for T Rex on the Disney site for our upcoming Feb trip and was unable to do so. So I called the restaurant direct and was asked what time that night I wanted to eat. lol I asked about the DDP and was told that effective Jan 1st they would definitely be accepting it.

This is disappointing for me too. I guess we'll be staying at S/D & eating most of our meals in their restaurant. I'm really disappointed to see Le Bistro added to the list.

OP - Thanks for posting this! I had been waiting to see if Big River Grille was going to be included in 2012 and I see that it is That is the good news

Now the bad news is with the addition of the new places I might just have to see about changing some of the ADRs I made for March

Original ? deleted.Found Cape May (B).................It is listed separately under Character Dining for Breakfast and dinner is listed under table service. Too many headings makes it a bit confusing
