NEW Disney Gift Card Deals and More

I think it is best to go to the Disney Giftcard website, and put the card into the account and then transfer it to another card that you have had for a long time. That way you know that there is the actual amount on the gift card that you bought. You can have up to $1000.00 on any one gift card (Max of 5 cards I believe) on the account. This way you know that the actual gift card that you just bought hasn't been hacked and had the money removed.

Definitely a best practice to run every card through the site to ensure the money is on the card, whether or not you are consolidating cards.

Questions in general; I'm trying to figure out how best to use the disneygiftcard site while not risking my "investments" from being hacked!

When I get a gift card, should I go to the disneygiftcard site and activate it right away, or should I wait until it's closer to the time when I want to use it? (Yes, i always save all the documentation that comes with the card, regardless if it's a hard-card that I ordered or just an online paper purchase.)

Do you keep several different cards listed on the gift card site, or do you bundle them all onto one or two cards?
Disney has now started two-factor authentication on the gift card site. You have to sign into the site and you have to enter a verification number sent to your email. It makes it much harder to be hacked so I leave cards on it now. I have an electronic gift card on there now from the Disney Store that I added to my Apple Wallet. I also have a ziplock bag of empty physical gift cards I reuse. For instance, I have 3 I always use for DVC dues.

I always enter the new card on the website, transfer it and then delete it when it’s empty. I keep the old cards in a ziplock and the e-gift cards in a specific email folder once they are used.

Is it safe to check balances on your Disney gift cards on the Disney gift card site or is there good chance of getting you cards stolen by doing that.

I think it is actually very safe. There hasn't been reports of rampant stealing of cards from the gift card site, just a few times cards have been compromised and people speculated it could be from the site but quite honestly could've been stolen in other ways. As a PP mentioned, there is now two factor authorization which adds an additional layer of protection. I use the gift card site very often and have never had an issue. I do however delete them once I check the balance. You can always add them back in at any time to move balances or check them.

There is a section just to check balances. You don’t have to sign in & you don’t actually add the card to the website to do it. It’s basically the same as any other company’s spot to check gift cards. You just put the numbers on the page & it tells you the balance. It isn’t added or stored in any way.

just bought 5 100.00 from bjs! 469.95 not too shabby! we use them for food, upgrading tickets and dues.
We use them the similarly. When we take a $500 card to WDW for spending that cost us $469.95 (using the numbers from your purchase), I love thinking that we are getting several free QS meals during our trip. Anyone else do that?

My 1000 points from PayPal completely posted today. Was able to cash out $10 to my account.
Mine did too…. I have a question about PayPal actually I thought maybe I’d try to start doing some more shopping through there, but do they not have some kind of search function where you can just search for the store you’re wanting to shop at to see if they have it in their list.

Same, what a nice little deal!

I find PayPal confusing to navigate!

I don’t usually shop directly through PayPal. Since other sites usually have higher cash back percentages.

What I do do is go to the deals and “add” any I may use. Like right now there’s 1.5% back at Disney. With those deals that you add, you don’t have to shop through PayPal. You just have to use PayPal to check out.

I’ve been able to stack these with credit card offers as well. And then cash back websites too.

Yes, you can, but I don't always have the option to "save" and can only click "shop" with some stores.
Go to offers in the app and then find the area that says "stores to explore" and click to 'see all.' You can search at the top of that page.

Ahhh I see so that requires downloading the app

I posted about this deal a few months ago, and it has gotten even better. You can now get a $235 Apple gift card for $80, or at 66% off. No, this is not a scam - I did it the last time and I already have a shipping confirmation for the phone this time. The offer does have a few steps involved.

1) Metro by T- Mobile is selling the iphone 13 for free when you sign up for their $75 Metro Flex Plus Plan and port in a number. The port in number must be a Verizon or ATT number (not a Goole Voice number or Number Barn Number). If you don't have a spare number lying around, you can sign up for a one month esim from Visible for $5 when you use someone's referral code. You can find the referral codes on the reddit site linked below.

2) Once you get the phone, you set it up and activate it (Set it up without an apple account and don't put on a passcode - just do the barest setup.) Then you take the phone into the Apple store and trade the phone in for an apple gift card. Right now, Apple trade in is offering $235 for the iphone 13 (If you are buying a new phone at the same time as doing the trade in, they will give you $250). You can also do the Apple trade in by mail if you don't live near an apple store, but I find it much simpler, faster, and smoother at the Apple store. There is a whole slickdeals forum that is dedicated to this deal.

I wanted to follow up on my post from last month... over the last few months I was able to do the deal of buying Iphones and trading them in to Apple 5 different times...I ended up getting $1030 in Apple gift cards for $444.03, or a 57% discount. This is enough to pay for our new Iphone next year!
