NEW Disney Gift Card Deals and More

I received the same offer and I'm always happy when it coincides with an actual gift card amount :thumbsup2. Makes it so much easier!
I always tend to spend a little more (that is probably their goal) because with the redbird you get 5% back already, when you do the actual amount, do you find it is a better savings?

With all these layoffs/firings/closures/tariffs, anyone second guessing whether taking a vacation is a good idea, possibly taking a wait & see approach?

We decided last year to not travel in 2025 with anticipation of staying in Japan 2026 for 3 weeks, maybe four, but that is becoming a wait & see for us. I've already purchased a few MC/Visa for stateside travel, I'm thinking of holding off for the remainder of the year until we know more.

Apparently not my week for strong offers... Shop 4 times on qualifying purchases of $140 or more to earn $40 in Target Circle Rewards.

Have You Heard :crazy2:

Our popular Daily Getaways has been discontinued for 2025 & beyond. Danny Deal Guru posted about this back on January 2, 2025. I like other DealVengers, have been too busy to keep up with all things changing in the travel industry.

We don't typically fly with Spirit Airlines but if you do, are you aware of their new Dress Code? Lastly, be mindful ALL airlines have been cracking down on Carry-On Luggage

Yes, because the 5% RedCard savings isn't deducted from the qualifying amount. I'm able to purchase the $100 DGC at $95 and it still counts as a qualifying purchase. So, in the end, it will be a 15% savings.

This will be our last big travel year for our family. 2026 will mostly be staycations. I already had trips planned in January, March, May/June, November & December.

I did sell one of my DVC contracts last month in preparation of not doing as much Disney after this year. I am getting frustrated with Disney pricing in general.

We have no international travel plans for 2025 or 2026, but if we did I would definitely be looking for ways to hedge due to the risks you outlined. For our planned domestic travel we are taking a business as usual approach. Whether this is right or wrong, I don’t know.

This is only the 2nd time I have gotten a coupon in almost a year of membership though :)
How often should I be checking for them? Or do you get a notification? The only reason I even think to look is when one (or more) of you kind folks lets us know you got them.

I've seen chatter elsewhere on DIS of a couple folks who are taking a more cautious approach due to government cuts that could result in them getting fired. Seems smart, no need to kill trips already booked at this point but if your employment is potentially at risk it is prudent to do things like slow up/hold up on gc purchases.

Wait, have I been doing this wrong all along? I did not know that it still counts with the redcard discount. Mind blown

Right, the next step in helping those in said predicament is to remind them they do have options: DGC never expire so either hold on to them or sell them if needed. You just can't post that they are for sell here or anywhere on the DIS.

Also be sure to hang on to those receipts! Remember, Disney has a very strict policy: You are Required to show proof of purchase, should anything happen to your funds while waiting for the dust to settle. You all remember what happened during Covid, right? As long as you keep your receipts safe, you should be good to go!

Am I missing anything?

I know I have strongly contemplated staying in Japan this year and leaving my job. I am just unsure on a lot of things. So yes, and no haha.

Also with them going after the department of education I am very concerned that my salary will continue to stagnate in comparison with everything else....as if we aren't far enough down the salary comparison as it is....so even for family vacations, yes we are trimming back. Actually just realized the reality of this as we had to make the call a few days ago that this would be the first year in 5 years that we will not be going to a Disney park.

Hubby and I got the same offer this cycle: Spend $120 x 4 for $40. We need to buy tickets for our July trip, so definitely time to stock up.

Do you have any friends with kids who would use it or does your daughter know anyone who would use it?
Nope, we don't know anyone who plays it, seems the game isn't very popular around here. In fact, I would venture a guess that she may have received it as a regift for the exact same reason.

With Target, I haven't been checking my offers. I will say I was pleasantly surprised they recently gave me a full refund on items I bought back in October. Just last week, no kidding!
Happy dance! :flower1:

Maybe you remember, I was looking for freezer safe food containers for my pups meals. I ended up buying Rubbermaid with red lids, stuff is excellent especially for long term & repeated use. Originally I bought Up & Up brand from Target and the lids actually popped off while in the freezer rendering them useless. I do not recommend those.
