NEW Disney Gift Card Deals and More

Well I hemmed and hawed and waited too long for the GC GC route. Just decided to grab the $1100 worth of DGCs to save the 100 bucks after paying for the USPS tracking shipping. I think my risk tolerance was a bit lower and I think I subconsciously wanted this option all along. Paid with my Chase Sapphire for the 5% (hopefully without any issues) and went through TopCashBack for 5% (definitely worried about that one going through as I've had issues with them in the past). Either way I'm happy as I think I've enough to pay off my dues (which really have gone up very quickly) and enough for a few restaurants on next two trips. Now my credit cards need an ice bath like a football player after a grueling overtime game! Cheers to this sub!

I know the answer must be "No, can't do it," but just for giggles has anyone tried to pay for DVC purchases with a DGC? (not the annual dues, but the upfront purchase or the 30/60/90 day splits)

That would be the smallest DVC contract in history using A Disney gift card as they max out at $1000.

In all seriousness though I have asked when adding on in the past and was told No but you can put it on a Disney Visa…

Just adding an offer at Acme grocery store and all Albertsons stores. There's a digital coupon for 4X points on all "qualifying" GCs. Good today thru 12/22 and it’s an unlimited deal as to how many times you can use it or how many points you can acrue.

I just got back from an early morning run. I bought $2K of Disney GCs to pay my DVC dues and paid with a credit card that will give me a $200 statement credit. Plus the card gives me points that can be exchanged for various GCs. The 8,000 points are already in my Acme account. Those will be good for more than 6 $20 off coupons toward groceries next month.

The stack was pretty sweet (I got $2800 worth of DGCs) and I think good enough that if you're buying for 2026 dues it can make sense. By 2027, though, I would look at other ways to put that money to work and then it's not stuck in gift cards in case you have life changes. One never knows...

This. Life can change quickly and unexpectedly as it has for us so many times in the past.

We already have enough DGCs to cover 2025 APs and DVC dues, with about $2500 left over for 2025 trips.

Anyone started buying for 2026 DVC dues?
I want to and I can get from BJs right now as they sent me a $10 coupon. But the DVC terms make me cautious. There is no mention in the terms that gift cards are accepted forms of payment. I know the ability to pay with gift card is available on the DVC website (paid 2024 in full with gift cards). But I am cautious that they may start to enforce payment by bank draft or CC only.

Speaking of which, the Disney gc offer will be ending soon.

How likely is it there will be a deal this good (10% off straight up and stackable with cash back and other rewards programs, no stated or apparent limit) again next December?

5 - Very likely
4 - Somewhat likely
3 - Equally likely and unlikely
2 - Somewhat unlikely
1 - Very unlikely

What is your opinion?

Definitely a reason to consider hedging.

They have never been listed to my knowledge but you have been able to use them for years. The thing that changed this year is not being able to apply them on a monthly basis. If you have enough you can pay them off with the gift cards and after they are paid you can prepay with the cards

Nope onto 2027 my friend ;)
Read your most recent post. Have you prepaid your 2026 dues, by any chance?
