There were 8000 DGC's left this morning and now they're down to 3500. I still can't buy any. I guess it wasn't meant to be.

I understand but, probably like you, I have done this for years and I cannot remember any time where they sold out within 24 hours, let alone in just a few hours. They are still available today.

When I attempt to add one to my cart it gives me an error then displays the amount of cards left.

This morning there were 8000 cards available. Now they're down to 1600. They will be sold out within the next 2-3 hours.

My point was for all those posts about making sure they get on right at 9AM when the sale started, making it seem like you have to or else. Because there really is no need, this year it took about 27 hours to sell out.

I bought early because I knew I was going to anyway so why wait? Just get it over with. And if I had an issue, like some people had, it would have given me time to either try to figure it out with the merchant or find someone to purchase on my behalf.

Again! I am just letting people know that you do not have to get them right at 9 or plan your morning around it, which some people do.

Except no one asked for your advice. We aren't stupid. We know how this works. If some choose to buy right when the sale goes live for their own peace of mind, I fail to see how that is any concern of yours.

You asked a question. People have answered it multiple times, but not to your satisfaction. That is a you problem, not a them problem.

They also do NOT work for annual subs- monthly only!

If you know the history of Sam’s DGC sales getting on them early can let you exploit loopholes allowing multiple purchases over the limit. Didn’t happen this year but it’s happened often enough that it’s just another reason people like to get on this particular deal as soon as it goes live.

Hope everyone who ordered the $200 gift cards from Sam’s received their cards. I’m just glad I ordered mine first thing yesterday morning. There were quite a few blogs and other sources reporting about the Sams Club offer so I’m not surprised they sold out so quickly.

A few years ago, they had a sale that lasted less than an hour. They sold out very quickly, so I think a few a us have PTSD from that. I cannot remember the deal, but it was around 15% off, I believe...
Or it might have been 10% but I had 5% back on wholesale clubs that quarter. I know if you didn't hop on the deal at midnight or whatever, you didn't get it.
