Where can I buy kid platform sneaker shoes so she can make it on the 40 inch rides?

Yeah Yeah I should wait until she is bigger but she is lacking a couple inches.

lol I can try going the end of may

Just some of the rides dont seem that bad star tours, splash, and soaring

I'd say if she needs a couple of inches, platform shoes probably won't work. I honestly worry about my daughter wearing anything more than about 1/2" high for fear she'll break an ankle... and that's just for short shopping trips. LOL We went to DLR when she was 2 and she was almost tall enough to go on the Matterhorn but not quite. I just told her that we'd go again once she was definitely tall enough (no promises of exactly when) and that was good enough. It was tempting to try to fudge her height a bit but in the end I realized the height limits were there for a reason so we just made the best of it. We're going again in May and she's now tall enough to go on all but DCA's Maliboomer and she's so excited.

Ruh roh. Here we go again. :sad2:

I'm on board for suggesting veggies as well. In my opinion, the height requirements are there for a reason. Rides like Star Tours and Splash might not seem like a big deal to you, but you can never be too careful, especially about such a little person. Platform shoes would be terribly uncomfortable for walking around all day too.

Disney has so many neat things to experience. They can definitely wait until next time.

Matterhorn no problem for us we did that in dec and march.

In may she may not make it either hopefully in oct when we go she can make it.

Im really surprised that the matterhorn is 35 inches that one for sure I thought would be 40.

The minimum for Gadget's Go Coaster is 35". The few times I've been on it with my son, I was so afraid that he was going to fly out, since the bar stops at me and doesn't really protect him. I keep my hand on his arm the whole time!

I agree the restrictions are there for a reason. It's probably not even total height they really want, but height while sitting, and the restrictions are probably based on what the engineers assume will be the safest.

Are you serious? the poor little girl on her feet all day in platform shoes?

I just bought some Hanna Andersson clogs, they have some new ones with straps for the ankles, and the heel in back is 2 inches, the toe is at an inch and a half... I won't have dd in them all day, just for when we are going to go on Splash and Soarin'... and they are reallly cute too!

This is what Im talking about have them to go on the rides and other shoes for the rest.

Is it wrong to do well sure but isn't wrong for disney to make us pay outrages price for food I don't know you guys tell me.

Very cute! don't know if this link will work... but these are the ones I got dd (teahouse sandal clogs):

She calls them Cinderella shoes... The ladies at H.A. swear by these, but I've always been one of the "softer the sole the better" for dd's shoes... I told them I could very well be returning them if she doesn't like walking them. And they said they have an unconditional guarantee... so it is possible they will be going back in exchange for clothes after our May trip...

Well, just as you don't have to buy their food, your kids don't have to go on their rides. The restrictions aren't to punish kids, they are for safety!

yes I know they are for safety not a big deal if she goes on them or not.

I could have the 2 inch sole shoes on her and they could always say no which would probably happen anyway.

I was just wanting to know if anyone else has tried this and it actually worked.

For all of you who can't imagine a kid wearing platforms and being comfy, I can honestly tell you it's possible. When I was in 5th or 6th grade, thanks to the Spice Girls trend, I had a pair of sneakers with 2" soles and they were really comfortable to the point that I wore them more than flip flops (which any young Californian will tell you is the primary preference for footwear).

I have no problem with the kids within a half inch or so doing what they can to go on the rides, but 2 inches???? That seems a bit extreme to me.
