Has anyone tired the emerald asile at orlando Airport recently. What size of cars do they have? Is it only cars or do they have suv and mini vans. Is it worth the risk if your hoping to get a suv or a van?

I was there in October and had my choice of small to medium size SUV's. There was one Nissan Armada but it was taken by the folks in front of me. I got a Chevy Equinox. If you want a Minivan at MCO, you need to rent a Minivan. While some people say they've seen them on the aisle, I never have.

I got a Nissan Rogue not that long ago but I was a very early morning arrival and I have executive status.

We just got back about two weeks ago, and we lucked into a Volkswagen Atlas, which is a 3-row SUV, and it had a panoramic sunroof, heated seats, etc. There were also at least three Nissan Rogues and two Jeep SUVs available. We took the Atlas, not for the room, but more because of the features. This was on a Monday evening on the regular Emerald Aisle. We've always gotten an SUV on the Aisle (usually a small one), but it can be luck. I've personally never seen an minivan.

In September there were tons of large vehicles on the emerald aisle... we took a ford explorer with a third row, lots of mini-vans. Saturday after Thanksgiving... all cars. I asked the attendant about upgrading to a mini-van and she was super nice and let us just take one from that aisle and keep our emerald pricing. I was shocked and would never plan on that happening again, but it was almost like they didn't put as much variety on the emerald aisle at the holiday. Was also a mid-week rental in September vs a Saturday in November. I'm sure the travel challenges of September played into what was on the aisle as well.

I literally just joined Emerald a few weeks ago. Showed up at Miami, expecting a Full Size. We had a 3 hour drive to Orlando in our plans. They didn't really have a full size car, but had at least a handful of sedans. Ended up with a Nissan Kick. No complaints and I'm sure most folks know, if you're not doing 80MPH, you're not keeping up.

We used to rent through National for years and were members of Emerald Isle. It worked well. For the last 5+ years, without a corporate account, they were far more expensive than other onsite rental companies. Now we use Alamo (same owner as National ) at 1/2 to 2/3 the price. If I could get the corporate rate, we would still use them.

I‘m looking for some opinions. I’ll be arriving in Orlando fairly late on a Sunday evening around spring break with my family of four (kids are high school age). The family is not super great at packing light. Through my work I have Emerald Club So do I:

A) take the safe bet of a regular full-size reservation since it should have more trunk space
B) for about the same price take our chances with Emerald Aisle that they will have an SUV or full size.

a straight SUV reservation is $170 more so we kind of ruled that option out,

I was there two weeks ago and got a Toyota Rav 4 (mid-sized SUV) from the Emerald Aisle, the first three vehicles parked in the aisle were all mid-sized SUVs..
