I'm glad to hear that Boo is doing well!! When my vet and I talked about fixing my female mini doxie, Maya, he said the whole ordeal would be much harder on me than on my puppy - and he was right! She took it in stride and I was a wreck....LOL!!

Give Boo an extra treat from me!!

I'm glad we had our dog "fixed" but now that he is getting older, I am wishing for grand"dog" babies!

I will, Doreen, and I know Boo will want to tell you thank you. He's walking around, like nothing happened to him. He's doing real well. I'm doing real well until I see his stitches. I'm glad Maya did real well too.

Thanks Nutsy. When did you get your puppy fixed? Is he/she doing well?

LOL! Scarlett & Rhett, for some reason Boo won't respond to me when I call him Bambi. I guess I shouldn't mention he has a stuffed Thumper he plays with, should I?

Fantasia Girl, I think that's the one thing I'm afraid will happen sometime down the road. If I get the urge for a puppy again, I'll just have to see if the lady I got him from has any more. What kind of dog do you have?

I'm glad Boo is doing so well, Shannon! Skippy just had the same surgery on Thursday. The poor little guy has one of those huge plastic things around his neck so he can't reach the stitches. He wants to help the healing along. I'll be counting the days until the stitches are out! Give Boo a hug for me!

Sandy, how is Skippy doing? I think Boo's surgery was much worse on me than it was on him. He's doing really well. He didn't have to wear one of those collars. How long does Skippy have to wear his? Did your ds ask as many questions about the surgery as my kids did? Actually, explaining to them the surgery wasn't too bad. I had to explain graphically to my mom what they did to Boo.

MJ, Boo would love to have a belly rub from you. Our boys are both handsome men aren't they.

Skippy's doing really well. I took the collar off him yesterday because he figured out how to get the snap to open up. He had us chasing him to put it back on a few times. LOL! At first he wanted to go after the stitches. After we discouraged him each time, he finally gave up on that idea. He's been okay about it since. He had an IV so they shaved part of his arm for it. Every time I look at that my skin crawls. Puppies are just too little for IV's! He's been getting 1/2 a pain pill twice a day. Okay with that too. I hope that eventually this helps him to calm down some. He's been a little on the wild side since we got him. LOL! He wants to be the Alpha dog, and we keep telling him that he's in line BEHIND Max. Richard had a few questions. I just told him that Skippy won't be able to have puppies with a female dog. He was disappointed about that. And I told him that I hope Skippy will calm down some afterwards. He LIKED that idea! So far, he's not any calmer.
