McKim's Mile House and ImaginAtrium Member Lounge Info. - UPDATE 2/8/25

That was what I meant….when it closes at 5 pm, they will make everyone leave and then once owners with MMB arrive, they won’t need to wait until it’s cleared since they gave themselves an hour…and, my guess is that it will be the extended hours that the character meet and greets happen.

They don't really need an hour to get everyone out and let the bourgeoise in. 15 minutes is plenty because like I said, they make sure all members are out a minute or two after closing at most. So I'm not sure why they need an hour turnover. Unless it's to bring in a new shift of cast, stock the buffet with shrimp and crab, etc.

Maybe it’s to give the CMs a chance to have a break? Certainly doesn’t seem like a big deal for there to be an hour in between..makes sense to me.

Oh wow, if they extend out in StarView station we’ll probably spring for MMB.

We would love this as well, but I’m not sure it’s feasible with the Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace experience. Perhaps during the weekdays in the offseason when fireworks aren’t on the schedule…??? 🤔 Hoping for more west coast info soon!

This is interesting but I don’t see us using it after 6pm, to me this is a mid day break, so im good with this benefit being added for those that want to buy it, but I don’t feel like im missing out on anything and this doesn’t compel me to purchase it.

We use Star View Station as a relaxing place to take our QS lunch to eat in a relaxed environment (usually out on the terrace) with free drinks. If they extend the hours past 6, it will now be an option for a quick dinner for us as well. Alien Pizza Planet is perfectly located to grab and take up to the lounge.

As for it being the sole or even the primary reason for purchasing MMB, well that wouldn't make much sense for anyone. But, if you take two or three (or four) of these small added benefits, at $8.25 per month, then it's a different story.

Yes. It’s 65 for a renewal and 75 for a new one
This could make things very convenient. If you had enough points, you could pay for both your admission and rooms with points. Only cost directly out of pocket would be travel and food.

Right now, that is what will work for me. We have 900 points and I have shared that sometimes I do a 1 bedroom just for me....now, one of my solo trips will be a studio!!!

Sweet! You’re giving me something to shoot for! 😃

First Look at McKim’s Mile House Facade, Replacing Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade at Magic Kingdom

While visiting Magic Kingdom recently to check in on early preparations for a lengthy refurbishment of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad set to begin early next year, we also got a first look sneak peek at the McKim’s Mile House facade under construction. As you may know, McKim’s Mile House is the name for the Frontierland Disney Vacation Club lounge set to open in Summer 2025.

From the Liberty Square Riverboat, we can get a peek over the construction walls at the work taking place on the exterior of the location.

Here’s a first look at the facade, which will feature large first-floor windows and a wooden exterior.

Perhaps interestingly, the wood used for the lower half of the facade appears to be flat or nearly flat, a stark contrast to the round, whole logs visible on the upper half of the facade. Of course, the look isn’t complete yet, so that could change as we get closer to the Summer 2025 opening. In fact, portions of the exterior facade are still metal studs, so there is still plenty of work to be done, but it appears to be coming along nicely.

EPCOT ImaginAtrium Preps for 2025 Character Meet

The Disney Vacation Clubmembers-only lounge is gearing-up for the new character meet-and-greet opportunity soon to be introduced as part of Membership Magic Beyond.

The new paid perks program officially launches on January 12, 2025. On that date, participants in Membership Magic Beyond will have three hours from 6-9pm daily to enjoy ImaginAtrium - a Member Lounge above EPCOT's Imagination Pavilion.

One of the features of the expanded lounge hours is an exclusive character meet opportunity. To accommodate this new feature, the photo spot located inside the lounge is currently behind a curtain as workers look to enhance the space. The lounge remains open for daily member access while the modifications take place.

Disney Vacation Club has not revealed any details on the exact schedule for character appearances, nor do we know which characters will be featured in the lounge. Expect more details as the January debut approaches.

Membership Magic Beyond is currently available at a cost of $99 for the period January 12 to December 31, 2025. Other perks include a 2-for-1 offer on One Time Use points, a 30-day Memory Maker allowance and special offers on theme park tickets for both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Additional details can be found in our prior coverage.

Wonder how big that lounge will be. The shooting galley wasn't a very big space. Not sure how much backstage area there was they could take over in that building though.

I was thinking the same thing. Magic Kingdom is going to get the most foot traffic of any park for sure.

The Epcot lounge really isn't that big but most of the time the size of it seems to work out well enough. I haven't experienced a super long wait for a table, but I'm usually just a party of 2 so maybe that has something to do with it as well. Hopefully the MK lounge will be bigger, or at least with more seating.

Imagineering Files Permit for Installation of Signage at Frontierland DVC Lounge

As we get closer to a Summer 2025 opening timeframe for the all-new Disney Vacation Club (DVC) lounge in Frontierland, Walt Disney Imagineering has filed a new permit for the installation of signage. The contractor for the work is Design Communications Ltd., and they have previously worked on signage for Roundup Rodeo BBQ, the Magic Kingdom main entrance, EPCOT parking lot, and they’re working on the sign for The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The permit has a standard 1-year expiration date, but it’s likely that we’ll see the new sign installed before the location opens this Summer. DVC has not announced an exact opening date yet.

No offense to Imagineer McKim, but every time I see/hear the name of this lounge my brain registers it as "McRib House".
