Marathon Weekend 2026

SAFD: Unlike last week, I actually have some opinions!

EPCOT (if I am not there for a festival which is what happens most of the time):
1. Karamell Küche (as long as they have gingerbread sandwich cookies which I learned yesterday are apparently not a year-round thing. This is a travesty. I demand restitution.)
2. Germany stand (Bavarian pretzel >>>> Mickey pretzel)
3. Regal Eagle
4. La Cava del Tequila (I 🩷 spicy margaritas.)

DHS:
1. Brown Derby
2. Baseline Taphouse (these pretzels are also good)

...I don't really have any others. Mostly I like to do festivals. 😅

I missed MK/AK but don't have strong opinions about the food in those parks.

I tend to graze at Epcot festival booths, but when we do bother to stop for a meal:
1. Les Halles
2. Cava del Tequila
3. Spice Road
4. Rose & Crown (fish & chips w/ mushy peas)

For Studios, if we do a meal it is almost always Brown Derby. I ate their cobb salad twice over MW! We recently had family with us and rediscovered the 50s Primetime fried chicken. Now that's solidly back on the list.
1. Brown Derby. Cobb Salad.
2. 50s Prime Time. Fried Chicken.
3. Ronto Roasters
4. ABC Commissary

Dammit! Can I add La Cava? I only get avocado margs there, so I wasn’t “counting” it for restaurants 😂😂
I mean, the avocado marg IS a meal!

Epcot: So many choices…….

1) Regal Eagle (everything I’ve had here I have loved)
2) Biergarten (I guess there is a reason why this is our most frequented table serve)
3) La Cantina de San Angel (margaritas and nachos, say no more)
4) Katsura Grill (tucked away up int back corner of Japan, the atmosphere makes me rate this higher, but I still really do enjoy the food)

Honorable Mentions:
I love La Cava and Rose & Crown but hate the wait and crowds. Yorkshire County Fish is solid, but I need to be in the mood for it. Joy of Tea for a Tipsy Ducks and some egg rolls.
Via Napoli is good, as well but I don’t find myself making time for them.

DHS: this should be easier…
1) Baseline Tap House (Pretzels und Bier…and charcuterie love love love)
2) Docking Bay 7 (something for everyone, really)
3) Ronto Roasters (breakfast or lunch, so yummy)

Rounding it up with…
4) Woody’s Lunch Box (lots of good options any time of day)

Upon review, it looks like I feel that no table service is worth my time in DHS (sorry, 50’s you’re fine just not more enjoyable than meat and cheese on a piece of wood with a cold beer)

SAFD:

Epcot is one of my favorite places to visit and eat. I love the ambience and being able to wander the World Showcase and eat at the different nations. Unfortunately, my #1 pick, Tangierine Cafe, was a Covid casualty and the pop-ups they've put in its location on occasion pale in comparison. There are still plenty of good options to pick from, though, so here's my list of favorites:
  1. Via Napoli
  2. Karamell Küche
  3. Regal Eagle Barbecue
  4. Chefs de France
Hollywood Studios is a tough one for me to pick out favorite dining, apart from #1, but I think it'll come down to these:
  1. ABC Commissary
  2. Ronto Roasters
  3. PizzeRizzo
  4. Roundup Rodeo BBQ
Epcot
1. Via Napoli
2. Teppan Edo
3. Lotus Blossum Cafe
4. Regal Eagle BBQ

DHS
1. 50's Prime Time Cafe
2. Sci-Fi
3. Trolly Car Cafe - Only for the Carrot Cake Cookie not coffee
4. Oga's
