Good afternoon everyone, we are heading to Disney this April and I wanted to get the group’s thoughts on strategy for early entry into Magic Kingdom. We are going the week after Easter so I expect it to be fairly busy. We are not the Rockefeller family by any means but we get to Disney only every few years so we will likely bite the bullet and just pay for lightning lane access to 7DMT and Space Mountain (also purchasing Genie+). My question is twofold, if I am up right at 7:00 AM to purchase lightning lane for 7DMT and Space Mountain will I have any porblems getting through and reserving a time for what may be a moderately busy/busy day? Second, my thought is that if I can get both of those passes rather than having to wait for a ride with a long line like 7DMT or Peter Pan (kids arent really into it so we will probably skip) does it make sense to try to knock out the other open rides even though they may have shorter lines throughout the day?

This is my plan for next Friday - arrive as early as possible before EE, hit Buzz, WtP, Dumbo, Mermaid (and the carousel if we have time before our first LL) in EE and the first hour or so of park opening
Am I being too optimistic?
We will be buying ILL for 7DMT and have genie+ to hopefully book PP and/or IASW in the morning then Splash - Pirates in the late afternoon - evening after a resort break (not doing Space since our kids are too little or scared for it)

(sorry OP to highjack your thread, I am wondering the same thing and was going to start a thread for the same question!)

You shouldn't have any trouble purchasing 7DMT and Space ILL at 7:00. Space will have whatever time you want, so book 7DMT first.

If skipping Peter Pan, then Buzz, Speedway, and Winnie the Pooh seem like the perfect choices for Early Entry (Teacups, Dumbo, Barnstormer, and Mermaid should have short waits for at least the next hour or so.)

Sunday after Thanksgiving MK had an 8am opening and we arrived for 7:30am early entry… we were able to walk on Buzz, Speedway, Pooh, Teacups, Barnstormer 4 times, Dumbo, and Ariel all by 9:30. The earlier opening time def helped vs a typical 9am with 8:30 early entry, but you should have no problem doing the “smaller” rides. We have little kids and my older parents were with so we went right in order to minimize walking. We purchased 7D for 9:40 so it worked perfectly.
