(I did a search to find more on this topic, but I didn't find anything.)
I noticed that first, the Inspire Keys were showing renewal only. And, now the Believe Keys are renewal only. The Enchant pass is still available.
I was curious if anyone has been tracking how long it took for each of the passes to sell out?

I just noticed the Imagine Key is also now showing as Renewal only - so Enchant is all there is to pick. Kinda surprising since I'm getting hammered with MAGIC KEYS FOR SALE advertising everywhere I look. That in itself is different compared to everything selling out quickly a year or so ago.

To keep up the FOMO marketing approach, they have to take them off the market at some point. Like saying the DVDs were going "back in the vault" to sell DVDs years ago ;)

OC Register reported earlier in the week har inspire Keys were no longer available to purchase. It noted it was the first time the most expensive key sold out first.

They may have offered fewer of those too. Hard to know. I'm guessing they track checkins/cancellations and how much people buy in each category too, to figure out which are the most profitable for them. But maybe we give them credit for better tracking than they actually do - their IT people seem to have to work awfully hard just to keep the Apps and Website working ;)

I think Inspire was pulled first - around Feb 12. Believe was recently pulled - maybe Feb 24.

Btw - Enchant closed today. I don't know if Imagine was previously still available, but MK sales are officially paused as of today. (Confirmed by the verbiage on the MK landing page.)

Not sure I want to venture if they "sold out" or if they're pausing them because of the impending Spring Break season. Either way, I'd be gently surprised if they made them available again until after summer.

Didn't spring break just end? I know Easter is coming, but it is late this year. They aren't showing Fantasmic every night so I'm thinking they aren't anticipating the crowds that they had during March spring breaks. I assumed they paused MK sales because of the hype around Shadows of Memory & the 70th.

Most of the Orange County districts had theirs over the last couple of weeks, but the next three weeks are the biggest Spring Breaks in the L.A. metro. In particular, LAUSD has theirs the week of the 14th.

All of the theme parks are open during the week for the next three weeks - Magic Mountain would normally be closed during the week, for example - and Knott's is open late during the week.

The next three weeks are Tier 3-5 during the week (they were mostly Tier 2-3 recently), and everything but Inspire is blocked out the week of the 14th.

I'm always suspicious any time DLR stops MK sales right before a big day-ticket season - which the next three weeks would be. I might be guessing, but it always feels like they don't want people upgrading into MKs during the busier day-ticket seasons, since that would technically be a discount (in a weird sense, since they're the most-expensive tickets). They really don't want people upgrading into blocked-out passes, but that would be the week after next, not this coming week.

My only guesses as to why they're not doing fireworks or Fantasmic during the week is that local schools are in session - maybe noise issues for the former and staffing issues for the latter - or that they're not expecting crowds to stay late for whatever reason. Either way, I'm surprised that they're not.

Reservation availability is the next million dollar question. Disney can open MK sales anytime they want and have zero reservations open.

Not sure what the lawsuit really did besides maybe change wording used in contract at time of purchase.

Of course I decide that yes I will buy MK and it's not for sale anymore. Do we think it will go back on sale before end of May?

I doubt anyone can say for sure, but I personally would be very surprised.

Historically, they've pulled them from sale the first week of June (to avoid selling blocked out passes). They sold out of Inspire and Believe a while back, so they're probably not sitting on inventory now - I'd be surprised if they brought them back so quickly. I'd bet August/September at minimum.

But, honestly, it's been so haphazard - nothing would be a surprise at this point.
