We have been there during the day recently and there seems to be at least some of the larger pieces that are there permanently. No, they come out in the evening.

I am not a fan of Luminous, it's a big disappointment for me after Harmonious, which I loved despite the barges.
Is Remy's still open when Luminous if going? Or is that only on the late night at Epcot? Come to think of it, couldn't I hop in line for Remi's about 5 minutes before 9:00? How's the line then? All these questions, a reason to look forward to Luminous, should tell you how I feel about the fireworks show. Not worth it at all, IMO. I prefer to take that time and ride Remy's.
I'd be good with no nighttime show if it meant the barges were gone forever. Really miss the lagoon with clean sightlines.Ok, y'all confirmed what I was wondering after seeing it 2x a little over a week ago during our visit.
I know Harmonious took a lot of grief for the barges but I kept thinking as we were watching Luminous, aren't there still permanent barges out there? And now with a much less impressive show....
Yep. It’s a one and done. As well as watching it in the flesh last week, I watched from my BWV balcony last night. I couldn’t find the Fireworks channel on my old BWV television and gave up after three minutes. Get the trash out of the lake and put on a real show.Saw it last week and didn’t really like it that much. The fireworks part was impressive, but the storyline and music not so much. Good that you can see it from around the lake though. Unlike fighting the crowds at MK.
