I bought a beautiful brown dress w/ mauve and off white flowers at the bottom (from Dressbarn). I bought a back up just in case, but would YOU wear a brown dress for Easter service? Please vote and as always, replies are welcome.

I can't find an img of the dress or else I'd let you see what I'm thinking of wearing.
I thought I'd be in the minority of the color wheel. Any way, all things aside it really didn't matter. What mattered most is I celebrated Easter with my family and friends.

Happy blessed Easter All! He is risen...He is risen indeed!-Amen!

I wouldn't wear brown because I like pastels for Easter. But there isn't any reason not to, I guess.

When winter is over, I'm glad to shed the dark colors. :)

If I liked it, and it made me feel good, why not?

Why not?

Yes, pastels are lovely but don't suit everyone or aren't to every woman's taste.

Go forth in that brown dress! :thumbsup2

I think you should wear whatever makes you feel pretty :goodvibes

Sure. I wear whatever is comfy and somewhat dressy. At our church, lots of people wear jeans with sweaters, or dressy tops. (including myself)
But for Easter, I will dress up a little more!! Now, to find something that fits.....

Happy Easter!

He is Risen!

I bought a burgandy dress for Easter. I like it, my mom probably won't. Then again she'd be upset that my shoes and purse don't match! :rotfl2: Where what you want..the Lord won't mind!

Wow, ya'll are fast posters!

Thanks!

Absolutely! I'd wear whatever I thought was pretty and/or made me feel good! :cool1: :sunny:

I wouldn;t give it a second thought!!

And if it seems so unusual to wear a brown dress on Easter Sunday at your church then at least no one else will be wearing the same dress!!!! LOL

I'm wearing a mauve skirt with small flowers on it and a sweater set. It's purdy. :)

I am! I'm wearing a lovely chocolate colored dress I found with cream-colored floral designs...It's not pastel, but I just felt so pretty in it, so I figured "Why not?" :teeth:

So yes, my vote is if you like it wear it!

I am wearing a brown tweed suit. Of course it will be about 9degrees celsius here.Pastels wait for summer.

Wear it!

My DD has been trying to decide what to wear all week. Her favorite dress, that she was originally going to wear, is black. All her friends told her she CAN't wear black on Easter. (looks like a funeral they say) So she's wearing a cream/ maroon/brown top/skirt/jacket.

Happy Easter :sunny:

If I can wear black dress pants and a black top for Easter you can wear brown. If you look nice in it who cares. Already been to church btw as I interpreted the Saturday evening service.

Yes, especially since it has flowers in it. You can "easter it up" more by wearing some mauve jewelry to match if you have any.

I don't see why it matters what color you wear for easter! Wear whatever you want.
