Hello all. We’re headed down to SSR in a couple weeks and I was wondering if anyone had used Kroger grocery delivery. We have used DDD a couple times in the past but want to try Kroger because they are significantly cheaper. DDD did do a nice job delivering to Guest Services to make sure our items were refrigerated, so we didn’t worry about items spoiling. My question is will Kroger do the same thing? I’m kind of worried because I don’t know how to confirm with Kroger that they will drop the order off to the right place to have the order refrigerated until we can get it. Does anyone have experience with Kroger that they can share in this regard. We also looked at Publix but it looks like they use InstaCart so I would have the same question about them. TIA for your help!

Just make sure the address matches the main lobby where Bell Services is, and you should be fine. You can also add a delivery note to leave with Bell Services. Bell Services will know to put anything cold in the refrigerator.

It’s entirely up to the driver though. One time, while staying in Bay Tower, Amazon dropped my box off in the mail room at the convention center instead of Bay Lake Tower, and I had to pay Disney a fee for package pickup.

Kroger delivers all the time though so you should be fine.

Sorry, I can't help but we've shopped at Kroger when on vacation in other places and have been pleased with their selection and pricing. Please report back if you use them as to how they worked out.

Love my local Krogers (Ralph's)!

We used the Kroger Home Delivery service twice on our trip last September. We were at Animal Kingdom - Kidani. They were fantastic. They had the bags separated to keep all the cold items packaged together. Both times, I was there when the delivery arrived, but they still took it to Bell services who put things in the fridge or freezer while they called me to see if I wanted to come get it or have it brought to the room. I believe small order I went and grabbed but the larger (and much heavier one) I had brought to the room. Bell Services (at Kidani) said they love working with the Kroger Home Delivery. Everything is super organized, they have their own carts to move things around, and apparently are just easier to deal with compared to Instacart or Amazon Fresh.

We will be using them again in September for sure. I would use them for my trip in a couple weeks but I will be solo in a studio and would only want 1-2 things so would not meet the minimum dollar amount.

Thanks s much for the feedback. I’ll give it a shot!

Ok - I’ll keep you posted on how it went

Thanks for the reply. Sounds good!

We had Kroger deliver to SSR last month and it worked out great. We even checked in a day late (ie, the day after our groceries arrived) because of a cancelled flight situation and there were no problems. I did call the resort to make sure they could hold our things an extra day and that the refrigerated items would indeed be refrigerated and they assured me it was fine (which it was). It sounded like they do this all the time.

We also used them twice last month. I usually just write a note in the instructions box to leave at Bell Services. Like other services, you will need to meet them with ID if you are ordering alcohol.

The prices are excellent (compared to our previous go-to, Publix via Instacart). Low delivery fees. Selection is pretty good too (for the basics we need).

I like that it's linked to my Ralphs card like @KPeterso - Fuel Points for when I return home 😉

It says on their site that Kroger uses Instacart for delivery "in some markets". Do they use them in Orlando? And does that affect pricing?

They do not. They don't even have physical stores in Florida (as far as I know). It's one big warehouse & they have their own refrigerated delivery vans/trucks that take multiple orders out at a time. The highest delivery fee I've seen for a window is $6.95. We usually choose one later in the night for $2.95 and grab the stuff on the way in from the parks.

Hello all. I thought I’d share an update. We checked in today at SSR and used Kroger delivery. They were outstanding. The app had everything we needed, was easy to use, and it was SIGNIFICANTLY less expensive than Publix. The groceries were delivered exactly when expected by Kroger employees. Bell services stored and refrigerated everything. When we got our room, Bell Services delivered everything in about 10 minutes. So, all in all, it was a flawless experience. Thanks to all who weighed in and gave their advice. We will definitely used Kruger again next time.

Thanks so much for the review, and I'm glad you had such a good experience. Between that and the fact that Kroger has Puffcorn, which I love (Puffcorn has the taste of popcorn in the shape of puffy Cheetos-great for those of us who enjoy the taste of popcorn, but can't eat it), we're all set to order from them on our next stay at OKW.
