Is this really happening? It's. Really. Happening. 10/13 First time family trip!

Having so much fun reading about your first Disney trip! Your daughter is so adorable - there are so many cute pics of her that it's hard to pic a fav!

Loved your Villians pic frame with your family photo :thumbsup2 Glad Bubba had a blast on RnR - that is one scary ride! I closed my eyes through the entire ride the first time I rode it but the second time I actually enjoyed it more when I did open my eyes.

Sorry that your MIL got sick after your meal at 50's Prime Time Cafe :( That is one of my favs - so glad that Bubba enjoyed the interaction.

Thank you so much! and thanks for Following along!
I think it would scare me more to ride something with my eyes closed! lol

Bubba was really not looking forward to this trip because he thought he was
too old for Disney, but he really had a blast! He tries to act like hes really
mature, for it or something, but he took a couple minutes alone with his mom
and thanked her for bringing him and told her how much fun he was having. :ssst:

Following along! What a gorgeous little girl you have! Looks like your trip is off to a great start!

Great review so far! Seeing your pictures of your adorable daughter with the characters makes me wish we had visited WDW when my kids were her age....
Your Garden Grill visit looks fun, too. We have not been there yet, but thinking we should plan to in a future visit.
Looking forward to seeing your adventures continue.

I have wanted to take her since she was born, but was just waiting for
a time when I thought she would actually be able to remember it.
We just lucked out and got to take her before she had
full day school. I don't know when we are going to be able
to fit it into our school schedules now!
Thanks for following along!!

I'm going to go ahead and let you in on a little secret.
Thursday October 31st, was the best day we were at Disney
It was awesome.

It didn't start out that way though. We didn't have any
breakfast planned because we had FP+ for an early lunch
at Be Our Guest! So we just decided to have a snack till then
and we got to sleep a little extra! I know, it doesn't sound too
bad!

We woke up and got there a few minutes after rope drop,
again missing a rope drop show... We will catch one next time.
I'm okay with that because it adds to the list of why we need to
go back, this list is ever growing by the way. lol

We took our time walking down Main Street.

And took a couple Photopass photos.

Oh Yeah, I forgot to mention, Bubba wasn't really in a good mood
this morning so he stayed back at the resort. That was why it
didn't start off as a good morning.

As soon as Keagan saw it, there was no way we weren't doing
it right then and there, So first we rode Cinderella's Carousel.

That is the "its happening" face, in case you are curious.

It was after this that we some how split from Nana and Pappy.
It worked though because we had BIG plans! Actually our plans
were pretty illogical, but we had time and there were virtually no
waits!

So with a walk on we took a spin on the Tea Cups!

I know, a terrible picture, but I really am no good at trying to live in
the moment and document it. Oh, well.

We loved it! Keagan especially loved it because she could spin it herself!

Next we hit up the ride Keagan was most looking forward to!
Dumbo the flying Elephant!
Well behind Splash Mountain, but she was still too short for it.

I think that this is one of the prettiest rides! The line was so
short we walked right on. That was actually the AWESOME
theme of the day! Walk ons all around!

We were trying to stay relatively close to Be Our Guest so we wouldn't
miss our FP+ time. So we decided to try the Little Mermaid!
Another walk on!

The clam mobiles are cute! Heck, the whole ride is stinking adorable!
We really enjoyed it! We then finally talked Keagan into riding
Barnstormer! So back to story book circus!

This actually a picture of Barnstormer from Dumbo.

Basically another walk on! I really wish I could have taken a picture
of Keagan's face as we went down the (little) drop. It was priceless.
Afterward she said she liked it but she didn't want to do it again. lol.

We still had about an hour until our FP+ time so we headed to Gastons
for a drink!

We got in a very short line for LeFou's Brew!

And we found a seat to enjoy it!

We all absolutely loved it! It was sooooo good! I could go for one right now!
To give us a few extra minutes to drink it we walked to the Rapunzel
bathrooms. and for a potty break. Keagan LOVES Ol' Punzie so of course
it was a must. She was actually the one person that Keagan wanted to meet,
but every time we had the chance she didn't want to because "she wanted
to ride rides." lol

It was because of her urge to ride rides that I only caught a glimpse of
Peter and Wendy meeting right near us. :(

I'll end here for now.
I am really trying to finish before I go back for my last semester of classes
Aug. 18 so I can say this "See Ya Real Soon!"

When I last left off I was staring longingly at a meet and greet with Peter Pan...
With about 30 more minutes to kill before our start time for our FP+ to be our
guest... With time to spare and no waits at all we decided to catch a ride on the
happiest cruise that ever sailed!!

Of course it is adorable! and of course it is a must do classic Disney attraction
but I really don't think that I could ride it over and over again in a single trip
(spoiler alert, we did ride it again before we left Disney though).

We then made our way to meet Nana and Pappy for lunch at......

Let me tell you I was extra glad I snagged a FP for a lunch reservation here.
This was one place that I knew without a doubt that I wanted to eat for
lunch one day, (not dinner because of the picky eaters I was with....)
The line was HUGE! and we got to walk right past it all! I mean they were
passing out cold to people in line that's how long the line was. I'm sure those
people were grateful for the water too.

Once we were in the door I was in a trance. The place is gorgeous! We were
in line long enough to figure out what we wanted and that was it.

I ordered the Croque Monsieur with Pommes Frites (so did Nana), Aaron and
Pappy had the carved turkey sandwich with pommes frites, and Keagan had
the kids turkey sandwich with I think fries.

My sandwich was beyond delicious! I loved loved loved that sandwich. We all
had the Master's Cupcake (with the grey stuff!) except Nana who had a
chocolate cream puff.

After we finished eating Aaron and I walked around and took some pictures.

This place was beyond awesome! I really felt as though I was in the Beast's
Castle. It was like a childhood dream was met that day.

After lunch Nana wasn't feeling well again so she caught a bus back to the
resort to lay down. Pappy stayed with us because he wanted to spend some
Disney time with Keagan.

Then it was time for our Dumbo FP's. I know this wasn't a ride that a FP should
really be "wasted" on, but I knew how much Keagan wanted to ride it and when
I made the FP I didn't know what the wait times would be like.

Since she rode it with me earlier that morning, she decided to ride with Pappy.
When we got finished with that Keagan wanted to check out the soak station...
and boy did she get soaked... I didn't think she would really want to get so
wet so I wasn't really prepared for it. I guess I should have figured.... Oh well!
Also this was the one day that I didn't pack an extra outfit...

After that a soaked Keagan was ready to ride some cars! So we headed to
Tomorrowland to ride the Tomorrowland Speedway! Of course she
wanted to be with Pappy, so Aaron and I rode together. It was cute and
Keagan really enjoyed it.

We strolled through Tomorrowland and Buzz only had a 5 minutes wait so
we decided to check it out.

Keagan with Pappy again, duh!

Not the most flattering pictures to say the least but in my defense I didn't
realize they took pictures until we got off! lol. I know I may "anger" some
people by saying this, but I felt that this ride was just as good as TSM. I
know I would rather wait for 10-20 minutes in line for this than 90-120 minutes
for TSM.

To slow things down a bit we hopped on the People Mover.

We all enjoyed it and it gave us some time to talk about what all we had done that day.
Then I guess we wanted to slow down even further because
we did the Carousel of Progress. Actually now that I think about it a little more,
we rode it because Pappy really wanted.

Pappy was really entranced by this. Keagan was bored with it, but she didn't
really understand what was happening. It was a neat thing to see, but isn't
something that I would have to do ever trip.

As we came out Keagan saw the Astro Orbiter and had to ride. At first I kind
of tried to talk her into something else because I had read on here how many
people skip it. We did run into the longest wait we had the whole trip here though.
After I rode it I realized why the wait is so long. Not many people at all can
ride it at a time.

One of our funniest memories of the trip happened on this ride, making the
wait worth it times a million. As you are waiting to take off they tell you how
to make the thing go up and down. Don tells Keagan (who is in control of the
lever) that he is scared of heights, to which she replies "I don't care" hahaha

Pappy spent the entire ride fighting to keep the lever down with his foot
as Keagan is trying to pull it up giggling so hard.

See the scared look on Pappy and the "I'm gonna scare Pappy" smile on Keagan!

There they are still down fighting over the lever!! Little did Pappy know that
he was going to be lifted up at the end automatically anyways!

Once we got off that laughing, we met Cari, Carla, and Caiden because Cari
had a couple extra Space Mountain FP that they weren't going to use.
Aaron and I rode it while Pappy and Keagan went to get a snack. They
actually got popcorn in the Mickey Haunted Mansion Hatbox Ghost bucket!
It was so cute!

Space Mountain was just alright in my book. It was nothing at all what
I expected. I would definitely ride it again but it wasn't as "thrilling" as I
figured it would be.

I'm going to leave off here for now! Thanks for tuning in!

I really am trying to finish this TR before I got back for my last semester of classes
on the 18th, but it really is a bittersweet finish line. This TR has allowed me to
relive our awesome trip and has only made my want to go back even stronger.
The TR is really all the Disney World I have at the moment because of right now
we aren't really sure when we are going to be able to make it back because of our
school schedules. :(

Anywho, In my last post I talked about going to the Rapunzel bathrooms but I
don't think I posted any pictures, but I found them so I'll post them now.

When we last left off we had just rode Space Mountain. Up next on our schedule
was Aaron's most looked forward to ride, The Haunted Mansion. It was because
of this ride Pappy brought ear plugs home from work for Keagan.... but we
forgot to grab a pair before we parked our stroller... Oops.

Luckily we had a FP+ for this ride because we saw the longest line we had seen
all day here. We all enjoyed Haunted Mansion, with the exception of Keagan
of course. She did better than I thought she would though, but she did keep
her ears covered the whole time. Also we got stuck at the end for a minute,
which was a bad place for us to get stuck because Keagan asked me if a ghost
was really going to follow us home. Haha.

When we got off we decided to go ahead and call it a day at Magic Kingdom
and head back to the resort, we got to the bridge between Liberty Square
and the Hub and noticed that there was going to be a parade in a couple
minutes, again just lucking into a good spot for it.

I really loved this parade because being with a child who "just wants to ride
rides MOM" I didn't get to see a lot of the characters I would have liked to.

Then we got on a bus and within a few minutes were back at the resort. I
had forgotten that they were doing some neat activities poolside for Halloween
so we lucked into those.

CHIP AND DALE!!!

They also had things like make a ghost out of a rag, some little goody bag
fillers and such. It was nice that they did something for the kids who were
there who may not have had the opportunity to go to a MNSSHP. Plus it was
awesome to see Chip and Dale poolside.

We rested for a little bit because we were going to spend the evening checking
out the World Showcase. It was here that we ran into our only "drama" of the
trip. Nana still wasn't feeling well from lunch but she really wanted to go and
try some of the offerings of the Food and Wine Festival. She really had done
well keeping up to us running around up to this point in the trip. She was
disappointed because she really wanted to go, but couldn't so we got a bit of
a later start to Epcot than planned.

In hindsight we probably should have just stayed at the resort and swam and
stuff because we were already tired and tempers were a little kindled because
of the minor Nana pity party.

Once we actually got there we had about 2.5 hours to make our way around
World Showcase and eat what we wanted... Obviously not going to happen.
You could say that was one challenge we failed. The rush made our time not
very enjoyable, plus we were picking t each other because we were in bad
moods.

I did get to try the “Le Cellier” Wild Mushroom Beef Filet Mignon with Truffle
Butter Sauce from the Canada booth. Aaron tried (twice because he LOVED
it) Kālua Pork Slider with Sweet and Sour Dole Pineapple Chutney and Spicy
Mayonnaise from the Hawaii booth. I also tried the Grand Marnier Slush but
I didn't like it. I reallllllyyyyy wanted to try the lobster roll but we passed it up
and didn't have the time to go back and get it.

We did get something accomplished, we got out two best friends gifts! Thats
something right? We got my friend (and our catsitter for the trip) Brittany a
couple of things from the UK, and Ben some snack foods from Japan.

Had to snap a picture of this because Brittany and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Martin
Short! Have you ever seen the movie Clifford he is in? (No not the big red dog)
It's a favorite of ours! lol.

Did not really care for this.

Aaron's second pork slider. You know its good if he ate two cause he doesn't
eat a whole lot of meat. Very much a picky eater.

We were gonna stick around and watch Illuminations but we couldn't find a
great spot for it, and were already in foul moods, so we decided to call it a
night.

We decided since we didn't do much of what we wanted to while at the WS,
we would ride a monorail to the TTC so we could check that off the list.
Then to mark another thing off of the list we decided to ride the ferry to MK.
This actually was what turned our evening around.

We were the ONLY ones on the ferry and it was perfect timing cause as soon
as we were making our way across the lake the fireworks for the MNSSHP
that evening had started. We had the perfect view for them. It was almost
like it was created just for us. Our own fireworks. In a place that has so many
people it was so quiet around us, it was truly magical. You could even hear
the music. It was so great.

After we got off the ferry we hightailed it to a bus and only waited a couple
minutes. Then a few minutes later we were back at our resort and getting
ready for bed. Other than the mini meltdown and the short time at WS, it
truly was an extraordinary day. We got to do some many things at MK and
not fill rushed or have to wait long. It was fabulous.

Well I'm not 100% sure with everything going on right now that I'll get this TR
finished by Monday when I go back to school, but I will finish it soon!

Real Life update,

So I officially became a great aunt on Saturday (August 9th)! Meet baby
Christopher!

Being held by his excited cousin!

And then by me.

Also my baby girl started Kindergarten yesterday... Where has the time gone?
It feels like yesterday she was as new as Baby Christopher.

I just want to squeeze her!!!!!!! She loved her first day of course. She walked
right through the doors without looking back, I didn't even have to walk her
to the cafeteria! And yes a few tears were shed, by me. Her daddy who is
actually more emotional than me held it together though!

Anyways on to the TR.... Friday November 1st

I forgot to mention in my last post that midday Thursday we decided to
cancel our breakfast at the Crystal Palace. We originally were going to spend
the morning in Magic Kingdom but decided to save our park ticket for Saturday
since we had tickets to MNSSHP for Friday night, and just spend the day at
DTD, and snag a reservation for somewhere there for a late lunch.

We woke up about 9 and got to the buses about 10ish. I will say we had to
wait the longest for buses while going to DTD and coming back. Coming back
was dreadful...

So a photo shoot DUH!

Also when we got on the bus it was SUPER packed, so packed it through me
off and we got off on the wrong side of DTD. It actually ended up being alright
because we got to do a little shopping...

Such as Once Upon a Toy for a Mr. Potato and an over-sized box of parts.
I am going to admit now, that I accidentally grabbed two of the same side
arms... oh well. Keagan did get the pieces for Minnie Mouse, Tinkerbell,
Darth Vader, and Jack Sparrow!

We looked through the World of Disney, since we didn't really have a lot
of time when we were there for BBB. Of course, if we were that close to the
lego store, we had to stop there again.

After that we meandered to our lunch spot, and waited and waited for Nana
and Pappy...

I'm going to give you a hint of where we went...

Planet Hollywood of course! We really didn't have many options, but this
turned out to be GREAT!

Well I may not say Great because our server was awful. I don't say that
lightly. Serving pays our bills and has for the last 6 years. But this guy really
was terrible. I know people have off days, I get that. But there was hardly
anyone at all in the whole restaurant. He wasn't in the weeds. I think that he
was more interested in socializing or something. I don't know. Luckily the food
more than made up for it. 3 people in our party had steaks, (I had a bite, they
were really good.) and someone else and myself had the turkey clubs.
It was really good.

After we were finished and waited FOREVVVVEEERRR for our server to handle
our check, we left. We wanted to stop back in couple more shops before we
headed back.

Since we started talking about going to Disney, Aaron's only request was for
everyone to get a Christmas ornament. So that was stop #1. We each picked
a set of ornament ears, Keagan got Rapunzel, Aaron picked the Nightmare
before Christmas, I got the Belle ones. Keagan also got a Chip and Dale
ornament, and a Donald Stocking. Keagan and I left Aaron in the store to pay
and he also picked up antenna toppers, and Keagan a stiffed Christmas Chip
and Dale as an Elf on the Shelf surprise. Needless to say Aaron's only request
turned into a doozy REAL quick.

I wanted to stop in Goofy's Candy shop to create my own treat!

Just in case you were wondering, yes, it was so good. I could really go for a
Disney Rice Krispy treat right now actually...

Keagan got the pretzel rods, with milk chocolate and oreos, but some how I
don't have a picture of it.

Since we were heading back to the resort to change anyways, we let Keagan
play in the fountain!

Direct hit right up the nose! HAHAHAHAHA

Yup, after that she was done. So we headed to wait FOREVER for a bus.
We finally made it back to the resort about 3:30, so much for my plan to be
back by 2:30 so we could nap... We did get to rest about 30 minutes before
we got ready though and that helped a little bit.

I'm going to stop here for now, when I see you next we will be on our way to
MNSSHP!

When I last left off, (a month ago, I know... School is killing me), we were
leaving DTD to head back to Music to get ready! Tonight was our MNSSHP!!!
All of us were going, but only Aaron, Keagan and I were dressing up.

Here we are all dressed up. Lol. I know it's not really a good quality photo but
I love it because of Bubba's face in the background! I want to go ahead and
say that my costume was literally thrown together as we were walking out
the door to drive to the happiest place on Earth.

Then we of course had to stop on the way to the buses for a photo shoot.

Also I don't have a picture of it but all week Keagan wanted a caricature
drawn but every time we came through she was either a super hot mess
or he was really busy, or we were running late for something. We decided
since we were a little earlier than we had planned that we would go ahead
go for it. It turned out super cute!

I also snagged this picture on the way out.

Oops. I lied again. Here is Keagan getting her caricature drawn.

Our bus ride was pretty short and we didn't have to wait long, and before I
knew we were greeted with these...

We were supposed to be meeting Keagan's little buddy, but we had to take a
few minutes for a few PP pictures.

Then we made our way to Liberty Square where Caiden and his mom were
waiting on us. I'm going to go ahead and say I know he isn't technically
Rapuzel's Prince, BUUTTTTT Keagan would NOT change her mind about
wearing Rapunzel's wedding dress. They were still incredibly cute anyways.
One more thing that I wanted to add was Caiden actually wanted to dress
as Ursala, but his mom talked him into being a prince so they could go as a
couple. It was too cute.

We started with Pirates. We hadn't ridden it yet and neither had they. Complete
walk on. It was awesome.

We then went to the splash mountain candy trail, which was really long, but
ended up being worth it. We then decided to go ahead and hit up the trail
by the boat so we did that. Then we just went to whatever one we found next
so we could get those out of the way and see the other costumes. We got to
the stop at Pinocchio's Village Haus and Caiden started complaining about
his fingernail hurting. We couldn't really see anything but a little bit of a hang
nail so we thought he was okay. He was alright for the time being but when
we got to Pete's Silly Sideshow to trick or treat Caid just couldn't stand it anymore.
He was ready to go back to the resort. So it was at most 8:30-9. Turns out
though he was a little more injured than we thought, a big chunk of his nail
was gone. Poor little guy.

We decided to go on and ride some rides and just get candy if we happened
to run into it. We wanted to take a night spin on the teacups. Bubba didn't
want to so it was just the three of us. I also forgot to mention that Pappy
and Nana didn't come to the party till a little later than we did so we never
saw them. They actually didn't stay too too long because of how crowded it was.

I can't remember too well what we did next, but I know at some point we rode
Winnie the Pooh, so cute! And we staked out a spot for the Villians show
and the parade. I'm gonna spoil it and tell you that we had a great spot for the parade.
It was a good thing too considering Keagan slept through part of
it and the fireworks....

CAN YOU TELL I LOVED THE CASTLE CHANGES!!!???

And on with the fireworks! Which were the best I've ever seen.

Keagan passed out waiting on the parade.

I'm at my picture limit now, so I will finish the party later!
Thanks for Joining me!

In my next post I have exciting news!!

I left off with Keagan sleeping during the fireworks, and waiting on the parade.
She was worn out. We had a terrific spot for the parade, and I'm not sure how
we managed that one. We were right on a curb in front of the castle! :thumbsup2

Anyways, I go on by saying I LOVED this parade! I love Halloween in general.
It was so cute!

THE HEADLESS HORSEMAN!!!

And so it begins!

Kanga and Roo! Cute side story, I got this picture because Nana has called
Josh Roo (and also Josharoo) since he was born.

Haunted Mansion Ballroom dancers

That super adorable Goofy!

After the parade we watched the Disney Villians show (again!) and it was pretty deserted
so we had an amazing spot for it. Then we headed out. We
were beat and the next day was going to be the last time we would be in Disney.
We had another park ticket because we decided to forgo any parks using regular
park tickets the day before. Josh wanted to get his hair cut and he missed
awesome day at MK so we decided that's where we wanted to do.

We got up early, Packed, :guilty: and got Nana and Pappy on the road. They were
driving to Daytona and staying because their flight wasn't until Sunday.
Bubba stayed with us and we were going to drop him off to them on our way out.

We got to MK and no sooner got Bubba to the Barber Shop and it started raining.

Our only day of rain at Disney. I'll take it, but it was cold. Josh didn't want to
get wet so he decided to just stay at some of the shops on Main Street when
his hair cut was over. (He loved his hair cut and the Barber Shop by the way)
We headed to Adventureland. We wanted to ride the Jungle Cruise in the day.
We got right on. It was cold, but still enjoyable. After that we had the GREAT
idea of trying a Dole Whip.... It was still raining at this point in case you were
wondering...

Now we were super cold. And super soaked even though we had on ponchos...
Anyways we wondered around a bit and decided that it was just raining too
much, we needed a warm place to sit down and have a real bite of food.

Everyone else had the same idea! Lol. Pecos Bills was PACKED! We lucked
into a table. I had a cheeseburger, Keagan had two ears of corn, and Aaron
had (don't quote me, I can't remember...) I think a pulled pork sandwich.

I'm not sure if they were having a hard day, or because of the people they
were serving at once, but the food was terrible. (minus the corn) Aaron
and I had to choke our food down.

Anyways.... After that the rain let up a bit and Aaron went to get Bubba.
We met up at the stockades!

She was too short to sit on the bench and put her feet and arms in so she
improvised!

We decided that we needed another round on the Haunted Mansion! And
Bubba hadn't ridden it at all, so we needed to fix that. The line was short.

We tried again to get Bubba on the teacups but he wouldn't. But thats okay,
because Keagan found somethings she wanted to do again.

That's it for this post. I only have one more after this! And with that post I
will also post something exciting!!!

So now that it's been over a whole year since the trip itself...
I have the last post for you! I don't know why didn't type it up
the same day as my last post... but hey, whatever.

So when we last left off we were taking our last flight with Dumbo.
We had to meet Nana and Pappy in Daytona to drop off Josh so we
were meandering to the front gates. :sad1:

But we stopped for some pictures of course!

This was the face I got when I asked her to smile....

Our trip was fantastic. We loved it all.

Overall dining I would rate a 10/10, mostly because we had the dining plan
for free. What can you really say about basically free food?

We loved the time it gave us being able to be a family. It was so nice. To this
day my mother in law still talks about this trip at least once a week.
It deepened my love for all things Disney. My instagram is loaded with all
sorts of Disney loving people. Orlando Insider Blog, Orlando Fun and Food,
Princess Jess, or as I like to call her College Program Jess, people I don't
even know, but that go to Disney a lot, just to get my daily Disney fix.

Would we be going back?

The answer is yes! Definitely. More than Definitely! June 9th-18th to be exact!
I decided since I am finally graduating college that we are celebrating with a trip!

We will be staying at Port Orleans Riverside, and the group will consist of,
Aaron, Keagan and I, and our best friends Brittany (she made her appearance
in this TR as the friend who was watching the cats!) and Ben!
Dining plan, hopefully flying, still not 100% on that part.

Our ADR are in place, and we are so excited! I can not wait!

Thank you to those who followed along! Sorry I was so terrible at updating...
I am wanting to do another TR but I can't promise that it will be kept up much
better... But I will promise I will try! So stay tuned for the details! I think
I'm gonna start a PTR because it helped me keep my excitement level in check.

Thank you all!!
