I'm Getting an Annual Pass... Now How to Pay for It?!

Hi everyone! I've decided to take the plunge and get an annual pass. I don't live in Florida so I will also need to book flights for each visit. I'm thinking of upgrading a Delta credit card (it's currently offering the best flight options) and using the AP purchase to help meet the bonus goal. I also have a Disney Visa. I can't find anything suggesting buying the AP with my Disney card would be beneficial (aka any extra discount), but wanted to pose the question here for anyone who went through the same process (or is just smarter than me!). Thanks for any advice!

Buy discounted Disney gift cards when you get them on sale and buy the AP with the gift cards. You can use the purchase to meet a signup bonus on a credit card. Places like Sam’s Club always have lightly discounted gift cards but occasionally you can get really good discounts too.

The first year of my AP I paid via CC. Last year I paid with DGC's that I got for an average of over 10% off through various methods/stores such as Target, Best Buy, and BJ's

That is correct. There is no benefit to buying an AP with your Disney Visa other than the Reward Dollars earned on the purchase. No discount or financing option.

If you’ll pay it off immediately, something like the Sapphire Preferred $600 SUB will pay back best.
