I still do several rewards sites where you view an ad get points which you can cash out for cash or GC

several months ago I started having issues I could log in but the ad pages wouldnt load

I posted on here about it and got some great advice basically I added 2 browers firefox and brave
which both have been working great for quite some time
the last couple of days though I get message when using brave that says

connection is not private hackers might try to steal your information give examples of passwords or CC which I dont have on any rewards site
this just happens on a few--
it mentioned deleting cookies im always afraid to delete things
any advice
thanks

Thanks for the reply. I figured some way it was a scam.
One other question how do you delete cookies. I hope it’s easy

That message you saw is fairly common. It means that the site probably hasn't updated their SSL security certificate. Best way to describe it is that it is a certificate that verifies the authenticity of a website.

If you are certain you are on the correct website (verify the site address, or the place that says https://www._____________.com). I believe you can click to proceed and it will take you to the site you were trying to reach.

For curiosity, which rewards site was it?

Thanks I’ll try that tomorrow
Sorry but one more question
Can you have 2 of the same browsers
It seems Firefox works great
It’s brave is the one I get the message on

I would just use Firefox, that one is pretty trusted. If that one works well, you are good to go!

Try to install an adblocker, that has eliminated virtually all of that nonsense on my PC. Be careful if you delete cookies/history/etc. as it can also wipe out any stored passwords on the various other sites you use. Make sure you have those written down somewhere is case they suddenly disappear.

I use Brave as my main browser but have multiple browsers installed due to my job.
If the OP installs an add blocker it might cancel out their coupon sites.

in reply to a PP the sites that Im having issues with are

roadto51
calendar days
circle c ptr
plus 3 from the same owner that theres no issues
also a few others by differnet owners
so theres no consistency
it just gets so fustrating when things work one day and the next everything has issues

just need to ask where do I find delete cookies
if I go to the top right and go to
tools theres nothing about deleting

It sill depend on. The browser. You want to get into the browser menu (on chrome, it's the three dots in the upper right).

Then look for Settings, Security, History, cookies, or something similar.

If you still can't find it, go to Google, put in the name of your browser and "delete cookies" (example: "Chrome delete cookies").

Alternatively, open Incognito mode (I think that's what's it's called on all browsers) and go the web pages in question. That shouldn't use cookies and if it works, you know the cookies are the problem. If it still fails, it's something else.

Im still working through this issue
now whats confusing is all the sites I do say
has the lock in the upper left corner with a red slash
so does that mean that all the sites I do are not secure
yet I dont get the big private message on some
yet I can do the sites with no issues
I just noticed to that theres an advanced button
I clicked on that and then it takes me right to the site with no issues
is this ok to do
I did try to clear cookies and installed another firefox
neither really helped but thanks for the suggestions

Did you try using incognito/private mode? That will tell you if it's a cookie problem.

Looks like CTRL+SHIFT+N for Chrome and Edge, CTRL+SHIFT+P for Firefox.

If you get the same warning in incognito mode, it might be a good idea to stay away from the websites for a little bit. They have an issue with their security certificate, which means they're either too lazy/cheap to update (at best) or there's something hokey going on.

this still doesnt make any sense such as its only one the brave browser foxfire theres no problem
if it was something with a certificate wouldnt it happen no matter what browser

and the fact too that all the sites I do have the lock it the upper left corner has a red line through it and it says unsecure
wouldnt that mean the same thing
sorry to be such a pest but it drives me crazy
also yes I tired incogneto and that didnt help

If you could clip a picture of what your screen looks like and post it here we might be in a better position to offer assistance.
